My brother and I both went to Mystic Lake for years as campers and have both worked there as counselors and it is one of the best experiences I've had. I would highly recommend it to everyone, it created some of our favorite childhood memories.

The camp I went to as a kid (and is still very much alive) is Camp Ao-Wa-Kiya on Stoney Lake. It's probably 3 hrs from GL but is so worth it. Some of my fellow campers now have their own children attending. Such a great place (and faith based!)

Had a few friends attend this camp while they were younger. They always talked about how awesome this camp was. http://www.ao-wa-kiya.org/www-new/wordpress/
