Were do you live? I would try one of the Ertl's. Christian Ertl is in Kalamazoo MI and is wonderful to deal with. You can also try Vascular Surgeons or see a Physical Medicine & Rehab doctor (PM&R) also called a Physiatrist. If you live near New England I could give you names.

Christian Ertl in Kalamazoo. 269-337-6230. Seriously worth the effort to get to him. Not sure where you're located. It's complete BS you are getting the run around and being blown off. That would never happen in kzoo. It's a teaching hospital as well.

Mayo Clinic agreed to do mine on the first visit. No infection and I was walking on it. Just chronic pain from prior injury. I had subtalar fusion a year earlier.
My new friend on my right arm! Fractured elbow, maybe more. Waiting for the orthopedic surgeon this week to make the call. Lola knows momma doesn't feel good.
