Pam Sward was amazing!! I wish that she could have been the permanent teacher for McKenna's class. I used to teach Catholic Preschool in Middleville, and it isn't an easy job at all. Perhaps the other two teachers left after they found out how difficult it can be. In their defense, that was a rough class. The teachers had to work with a child that would become violent for no apparent reason and hurt the other children, as well as the sibling of an Autistic child that would "Act Out" constantly by mimicking her brother's behavior to get attention. The school was set up very well, and it was extremely clean. The problem that we had was the amount of required volunteer time changed about a month after we started and I wasn't able to comply with the requirements. Dana and I took our girls to St. James Lutheran Preschool in Portage, another took their son to the Gagie School, and I'm not sure where the other family went.
Can you help us? We're looking for Preschool Open Houses this month and next to put together a listing. Let us know if you know of any Open Houses at your kiddos...

Landon went to CHUM co-op preschool... It's in Portage. The teachers there are amazing and the price wasn't too bad when I did my research but I'm not sure what the cost is next year! Good luck!

Hilltop Preschool off of crosstown and Bronson pkwy. The kids cry when they have to leave. Everybody there is great. Gayle Lager is the director there. It's in the Methodist Church on top of the hill across from the Girl Scouts building. Call me or Michele and we can tell u all about it.

Twin Lakes Co-Op Preschool for sure. I think the school board is having a few playdates this summer if you want to meet the teacher. I will have to verify though. It's expensive and the teacher is wonderful.
