My English Mastiff has glaucoma and we take him to Eye Care for Animals to see Dr. Hunkler. She is wonderful with him. I would highly recommend her. She travels back and forth from the Overland Park location and Lee's Summit location. From personal experience I would try to get in as soon as possible.

If u live in dent county the animal shelter will give u a voucher to go to one of the vets in Salem to get done and its for a donation the #573-729-3556. I guess its cheaper than people dropping off there unwanted animals there.

Vets don't specialize in certain breeds. You will find vets more familiar with conditions than others are. I personally prefer holistic medicine and use Animal Clinic of Boardwalk. For emergency I stay closer to home and go to Antioch Dog and Cat.
