Best oral surgeon in the area? I'm looking to get all 4 wisdom teeth extracted and was wondering where the best place to get this done would be?

Dr. Prstojevich in Lee’s Summit. Ive had him remove wisdom teeth, plus another extraction and bone graft and implant. He is fantastic. I recommend being put under for it too. It’s worth the extra money.

I went to Dr. Tanner just west of the Plaza. My dentist (and friends) recommended him to me. It went extremely well . . . in fact, I've had cleanings that caused more pain than the extraction did. Pro Tip: Ask for the gas in addition to the IV. https://bestoralsurgerykc.com/team/

UMKC dental school if you lack insurance and qualify and can wait a few months

You are better off going somewhere somewhat nearby because the vehicle ride home sucks bad after any dental surgery that requires a local/cotton balls/missing teeth. the more teeth gone the worse it is. Course I say that and a friend of mine eons ago had all 4 of his wisdom teeth plucked, got in the car, spit out the cotton balls and lit up a cigarette and wanted to go to the mall. so maybe some don't suffer as much as others.

[Dr. Faerber in Leawood.](https://www.surgicalarts.com/) My sister (an RN, if it matters) referred me. I don’t know if my case was that easy for someone like them to do, but it went great. I heard horror stories about wisdom teeth extractions, but my recovery time was absurdly quick. I remember that the dentist recommended having all four removed because they were growing a little diagonally and there was potential to make my teeth crooked. There may have been something else. It was maybe in 2012. I had a consultation with him, it was very quick and he seemed like it was no problem. After the surgery, they gave me hydrocodone. I only used one pill and I could’ve managed with an over-the-counter pain killer, especially since I felt like the hydrocodone had zero effect. I don’t remember much else in the way of pain or other details really because it was that simple. I think I was almost completely back to normal the second or third day after. I wish I could remember more vividly, but it wasn’t very memorable because it went so smoothly. I also checked his reviews online extensively, too. Wherever you end up going, good luck!

I used Dr. Tyson Marrs in Olathe with Oral & Facial Surgery Associates. They also have a Prairie Village office. He extracted a tooth and I went through the implant process with him. I really appreciated his casual style and the fact that he would explain everything he was doing. They always got me in quickly once I arrived for my appointment and didn’t keep me waiting. I had previously used another surgeon at a different practice and had a not so great experience. He had no bedside manner and actually allowed someone from the implant manufacturer in the operating room and kept raising his voice to him about the quality of the implant that he was putting in the mouth at the time! It was chaotic and I swore I would never see another oral surgeon...until I had to and found Dr. Marrs.

Richard Oakley is in Mission. Can't say I particularly enjoyed the experience, but he was great and his office staff were awesome. https://www.oakleyoralsurgery.com/

Also wait for over a week to use a straw or smoke or anything involving sucking. You will want to die if you get a dry socket. I thought I was clear and had a lslushy. Nope. Bad.

Shiela call Dr Browns office and ask him for a oral Surgeon, tell him that I told you to call. I cant remember the name of the office, but I have had at least 4 proceedures done there and Dr Brown has been my dentist in the Northland for 35 years. I still come home for my work. I would call you but lost all my numbers with my phone. I will text you his number and mine if you want to call me. VERY GOOD!!!!

I recommend Dr. Tanner. Removed all my kids wisdom teeth that were impacted.
Dennis, I went to Dr Solano last week and he did a great job. He's not my first choice, actually my last due to personal reasons, but he is in LS. Lakewood and Raymore Oral & Maxofacial surgery are both great if you can get into them. Call Devin if you want more details
If anyone knows an oral surgeon in the Denver area, please let me know, Rose has an impacted wisdom tooth and it needs to be removed Asap, she is in severe pain.
