I've pretty much been told today that if I don't put my Dad on hospice that he needs to leave the personal care home that's he's in now. Since I'm not too crazy about...

My Mother was at Shady Grove and fell 5 times in 2 months. I could tell more horror stories about that place. It is owned by the same people that own Ross Memorial. We moved Mother to a place in Cartersville named Fite Personal Care. Wonderful place!!!

DayBreak Village in Kennesaw is Very good. I use to work there. Also Dogwood in Acworth is very good. My old boss works there. Very good reputation. Presbyterian Village in Austell Very good also. Wish you the very best luck. I am a CNA and these three places I mentioned are very good places

It may be too far south, but AG Rhodes on Wylie Rd in Marietta is the best we have found in this area. My dad has been there over 3 years. The staff is very kind.
I just switched insurance plans and I'm looking for a doctor and an obgyn in the marietta area? anyone have a doctor or obgyn that they LOVE? id prefer a doctor who...
Mary T. replied:
I LOVE mine! Dr. Robbins at the corner of Margaret Ave and Church St in Marietta. All the staff/drs in the practice are females, which I really like, too. 770-427-0285.
Lori S. replied:
Im with Dr. Robbins too! Another Dr. recommended surgery for an issue, Dr. Robbins is a surgeon, but allowed me to wait and get prayer instead! Never did need the surgery...She gets my non-invasive approach to everthing including natural approach when possible. Takes a while to get an appt cuz we all love her, but good to get on the books

I love my general practitioner Dr. Talbot at Cherokee St. Internal Medicine. My midwife is in Roswell, but she's great.
JonathanandSarah E. replied:
LOVE Northwest Women's healthcare for my OBGYN- switched to them after Marietta OBGYN wouldn't let me have the twins without a C they are docs and midwives combined, just really love them- and I'm always in and out pretty quickly
Elisa T. replied:
If you are willing to drive just a little, I have gone to Cherokee Women's Health Specialists in Woodstock. I loved them, I saw Dr. Ghandi, felt like she spent good time with me and they seemed to me to be more holistic in their approach. She was the first to suggest managing my stuff through diet!
Sarah W. replied:
Kennestone OBGYN is great! Dr. Bardwell and Brett Brett Bryant are the doctors there they go to riverstone. They are great
Doreen R. replied:
I just made an appt with Dr Robbins and earliest appt she had was may 21. So....she must be very good.
Elizabeth D. replied:
Dr. Robbins is in the same practice I referred you too as well Alex.
Katie-Logan W. replied:
Dr Bardwell is phenomenal. I drove back to GA to have him deliver Anna. Can't say enough about him.
Hello! We recently moved to Atlanta (Marietta) from Los Angeles. My daughter is 14 months old and still breastfeeds like a champ
Kayla R. replied:
Dr Strauss at kennesaw peds does! I was pregnant with number 2 and went on a tour with my toddler. She was 20 months at the time. The other moms there were first time moms and he asked if I breastfed or if I still was without batting an eyelash. I love him. I am tandem nursing now and he fully supports it
Ana J. replied:
It can also depend on what Dr you see at PAMPA- some of them are less than supportive of truly educated patents. We loved Dr Morgan- but wouldn't see any of the others. He knew that I was nursing until... Well she went for 4 years.
Reina G. replied:
Oh, that's great to know, Ana Johnson! We saw Dr. Smail, and she was really great until the very end when she kept insisting that we needed to introduce cow's milk. I had high hopes because she was talking about the new research of introducing high-allergen foods earlier, so I thought she was more "modern" and up-to-date than some of the more "old-school" pediatricians we've encountered in the past. Maybe I'll get an appt with Dr. Morgan for her 15-month appt and then see if I feel the need to switch practices. Thanks again for this!

Dr. Pitts at Kennesaw Pediatrics loves normal term breastfeeding.
Erin M. replied:
We love Dr. Seth at Kennesaw Peds. but have seen quite a few of their doctors who have all been lovely. I'm still nursing my 13 mo, and Dr. Seth has been nothing but supportive (she's currently pregnant too).
Dessie L. replied:
We love Dr. Winters-Smith at Kennesaw Pediatrics. They are great with supporting alternate vax schedules, too, if that is a concern.
We see doctor Heaven at Woodstock Pediatrics. While my son is only 10 months old, she's made positive comments regarding extended breastfeeding. At his 9 month appointment she told me to keep nursing as long as we both desired it and she said to continue nursing him when he wakes at night (which I know some peds discourage for whatever reason). She's been incredibly supportive of our nursing relationship.
Reina G. replied:
Thank you, Ashleigh Blythe Stewart! I actually went to a consult with Woodstock Pediatrics when we were staying with my sister-in-law when we first moved to town. We met with Dr. Bear, but she didn't really seem to show much enthusiasm when I mentioned extended breastfeeding. Maybe I'll give Dr. Heaven a try!
Ashleigh S. replied:
I've only ever seen Dr. Heaven so I can't speak for the other doctors. But I've been very happy so far. She's always been supportive of breastfeeding (even through severe jaundice and slow weight gain). She definitely seems supportive of it and I'm hoping that support will continue once we are actually extended breastfeeding and not just talking about it.
Jenny S. replied:
I also recommend Dr. Heaven! We sadly had to stop visiting her office due to their vaccination policy, but I truly loved her and her holistic approach to everything!
Tara J. replied:
We go to Cartersville pediatrics in Acworth. They never gave me a hard time when I said I was still nursing at 12 months - they did ask if he was drinking water from a straw/sippy cup and that he was eating solid foods too. (We did stop at 13 months though as I was pregnant with #2 and wanted a little break lol) Honestly, I don't see why they need to judge or "have a say" in what you provide your baby to drink - that's a different issue though. Good luck finding a doc that works for ya'll ;)
