I am in search of a holistic doctor. A naturopath? Any recommendations?
Karen E. replied:
Her name is Dr Annie. I'll give you her address because you'd never understand her on the phone. 107 Colony Park Ste 900 Cumming GA Her number is 678-513-8862. She's fixed a bunch of stuff for me, seriously I can't tell you how many things. Just don't let her sell you the chinese herbal tea. There is no way a human can drink that stuff. I don't care how much honey you put in it!

I went to The Herb Shop and the lady is out of town until Thanksgiving but then she is booked until JUNE!!!! What the heck!!

You may have to look around, doctors are getting really iffy prescribing any scheduled substance these days due to the opioid crises (yes I realize vyvanse isn't an opioid, doesn't matter, it's scheduled).
I've been diagnosed with ADD since I was young. When on my parent's health care I was on ritalin and then adderall. Moved out on my own, got crappy ACA healthcare, and just didn't go to the doctor and dealt with my ADD in other ways. Finally got better healthcare, went to a GP about getting back on adderall, and the guy treats me like I'm a pill addict. Says he won't provide anything addictive (despite KNOWING I was prescribed adderall for years) and offers to put me on anti-depressants which I respectfully decline.
It's a pain in the ass, and drug addicts have truly ruined it for normal people. God forbid if you get in some accident and need pain meds, don't even get me started...

Atlanta Behavioral Care is what my appointment card says, or Atlanta Psych and Neurol is what my receipt says. 7703196000 Yes, I go every other month, getting 2 mos adderall with one predated.

Took adderall for 6 months or so about 12 years ago. Insurance was through kaiser. Saw a specialist at the perimeter location every 3 months for a script assessment. Appointments lasted 5-10 minutes. Otherwise I just got a refill every month. One time they were out of 10 mg pills and gave 20 mg instead.....except they gave me the same number of pills, doubling the amount. And that's how my script remained until I decided taking speed everyday is just not a good idea. The whole process felt weird. I feel like I could have gotten whatever I wanted. I'm a little shocked they even prescribe amphetamines anymore.

I take Vyvanse. Check out Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals. They have offices all over. I've only been taking it for a few months but I usually have an office visit every other month. When I run out between appointments I call in and get the prescription sent to a pharmacy.

Gloria, it has been 14 years since I lost my child he was 21. My Dad passed in 1972 and I was a Daddys girl, My Mom passed in 2005. After my son died his son and X lived with me, then she moved out and refused several months later to see my grandchild, and I had to take her to court...........in 1990 my husband had a stroke, in 2012 he was diagnosed with parkinsons.............It has been a rough 23 years for us. We have struggled many times, we went 5 months with NO PAYCHECK, since he started drawing social security we have NEVER qualified for anything extra. So when our money comes in the first of month that is it. I have had not one bit of insurance since 2000 or so. In 2013 I had a heart attack................I could add more in there but I will stop. Gloria, I just trust God to take care of me. I owe him my everything. I take nothing, tonight I really lost it, my nerves were on edge and it took all I had to absolutely not loose them, but I just went outside sat for a while, and came back in later. My knees and hips and back hurt me so bad. I can't hardly go early in morning or late at night. But I don't want to depend on a pill to get me through, whether it be Pain meds, Tylenol, whatever. I hate you are having so much issues, I understand 100% how you feel. But my peace, comfort and joy comes from my relationship with my Lord. And I will tell you I have a little daily devotion book, when I am down I read out of there and it will help me. Then I just pray for God to step in and show me what I need to do. I am praying for you, and if I can help you please let me know. 9/1/2014 I will have insurance and I want to see orthopedic for knees and back, but I have to start with primary and I chose Dr. Reed so I will start there. God bless you. Just enjoy them grandbabies

Praise God Mrs. Shipley! What an awesome testimony!!! I know so many who have been addicted & still are, it's a much worse hell than any financial, mental, emotional or physical pain than anyone could imagine! I believe, like you, that God can & will carry us through every trial we face. It's a wonderful thing to hear you've made it through so much, yet found Christ to be sufficient for you! I just thought I'd take a moment and commend you for such strong Faith, during all these trials and uncertainties
