Karen is correct. Be very careful with the vaccines you choose. A great site is www.909 shot.com . It will give you all the information you need. Also, think about how many vaccines you required and question why your child would need 4 times as many.

I was vaccinated for whooping cough while pregnant. I wasn't totally sold on the idea but still did it. Madison went for her regularly scheduled vaccinations. She still contracted whooping cough because it is more prevalent now and she was not completely vaccinated when she contracted it. It was very difficult to watch her have trouble breathing as a baby and the after effects lasted for months. However with Jacob I staggered his immunizations bc I was scared to give them to him all as once according to schedule. CHOP care network Paoli was wonderful and supportive letting me do that and I appreciated it. He got all vaccines just on a slower schedule. You can schedule nurse appts to get the shots in between the well visits. We saw Dr Gelman who was wonderful and great with babies and kids. definitely recommend but might be too far for you. I see both sides. Just make sure you do your research regarding vaccines and that you find a supportive MD that you feel comfortable with.

I used pediatric medical associates in east norriton. They do a delayed vaccine schedule and like to keep dialogue open as well. I also used Steiner Medical Center in phoenixville -rte 23- before u get into the actual town of phoenixville. They changed some staff, but they too do a delayed schedule and let u choose. My kids are now just getting shots and I am very selective and wait months before doing next rounds. U can schedule visits with any doctor u r thinking about. If u want to delay vaccines, then don't go with the chop network or other network pediatrician office. Hope this helps. Oh, stay away from the peditrician office on Allendale rd at the medical bldg there.

I also use Steiner Medical and they also will give you homeopath for colds and ear infections, none of my 3 kids have ever needed antibiotics for anything. ( But they will do meds/antibiotics if needed, which I had needed before) I think Dr Flood is still there and she will give you an education in proper nutrition/health for your child lol, I laugh because she is very good but also hard core on the natural health.

We love our pediatrician in Paoli. We have been there since Shannon was 9 months old (so more than 14 years.). There are two doctors...Dr Forman and Dr Kienzle. It is good to have the doctor's office close to your home:)
