We are back home now. Roxy has to stay at the Coastal Animal Hospital in Kitty Hawk until Monday. She was in shock when we got her there so an IV was started and she was given fluids and some steroids. She has a lung contusion that they are not sure about.. It may be bleeding but it may also clear up. She also has a dislocated hip that will hopefully be fixed on Monday. Any prayers anyone could send our way would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

I second Right at Home Mobile Veterinary Services. Kristine is awesome! I would also highly recommend Dr. Shea but he has limited office hours (NH Vet)

Dr Taylor at Outer Banks vet. Their prices are better than the others and he will work with you on paying it off. Not sure what is up with your cat but Coastal Humane Society will help with the cost. Leave them a message and they call back. Also I believe Friends of Pooh can help if it is cancer related (not sure of their requirements though). Dr Taylor is also a pretty amazing vet with very caring staff. We are 4 weeks out of a major emergency with our cat and a roller coaster of illnesses with him and the office staff is still asking about how he is doing.

Dr. Taylor at Outer Banks Vet is wonderful. He is very clearly in it for pets welfare and not for the "upsell". I would not take my babies anywhere else.

There is no one in this area who is qualified to care for birds - especially large birds. Your best bet is Pet Care in Virginia Beach. It's about a 1 1/2 hour drive, but trust me, it is worth it for your birds sake. They are highly qualified and have an avian vet on staff. 757-473-0111

I take our sun conure to Dr. Grossman at Roanoke Island Animal Clinic. Next to the CVS in Manteo.
