I have a doula client that her baby just turned breech. She needs the name of a chiropractor who is familiar with the Webster Method. Also doing some inversions.
Kimberly S. replied:
Franya Peterson. 865-405-0655 and I believe there is a chiro at Exodus Chiropractic who does Webster as well.

Lisa Ross Center!!!! The midwives are amazing and they are very naturally minded. And I have to give another plug for Open Heart Doula. I had the honor of having Alissa Claxton at my last birth, and she is wonderful.
Alissa C. replied:
I think she would love getting your care with the midwives at Lisa Ross even if she decided on delivering at the hospital. While it would be an OB that delivered her, they are very natural friendly especially if you are coming over from LR and who knows she might just decide to stay there! Plus they will be a huge help to prepare her for natural delivery. They accept BCBS insurance. Also, we have a couple doulas in training currently so we might have some options. www.openheartdoula.com

There's so much you can do on your own. Spend some time on all fours to create a hammock for baby to move freely into position. Talk to baby and tell them what they need to do. And of course trust... And a doula is essential. Acupuncture is also good. Call Jodie Manross for that.
Hello! I am a doula that will soon be moving to the Knoxville area, and am very interested in marketing myself. Are there any pages or ways that you suggest to do that?...
Rebekah H. replied:
Open Heart Doula Services is a group my friend Courtney used. I have only heard great things about them. It might be worth just reaching out to them for more info.
Nancy L. replied:
Welcome!! The Knoxville and Maryvillle hospitals do not have a doula program. UT use to have one a LONG time ago. There are many doula here in the 30 mile radius. Most are certified, represent a variety of organizations, and have different scope of p ractices. There are independent contractors and groups. Word of mouth, being introduced at a childbirth class, and local Birth Network can help you visibility. There are about 7,000 births in just Knoxville per year..... Enough for many, many doulas. I am certified childbirth educator and doula(ICEA)..coordinator CBE at Physicians Regional Medical Center .... Looking forward to meeting you
Emily W. replied:
HI! I am also moving to Knoxville this summer and will be living closer to the west side as my hubby will be at Parkwest Medical Center. I look forward to meeting all of you! I will probably not be looking for Doula Clients at this stage as I will be a grandma in Sept!! and I am also continuing to run my business in Jacksonville, Fl for as long as my elderly father lives ( so I can deduct the travel!!). I would love to do some Birth assistant shifts as I love doing that here. I do teach HypnoBirthing CBE and provide trainings for a Postpartum Recovery class and am a pelvic floor master trainer so I hope to continue that in Knoxville. But first --we have to find a house! We are coming up tomorrow to search.
