Hey Michelle... Saw your post and wanted to tell you about Dr. Pham in Bonita. He charges at least half that for sedation and will work with you. He does orthodontics too and is very patient and kind. 421-2155.

I use Dr. Chan at Pediatric Dentistry on the corner of Avocado and Chase in El Cajon. Same dentist I used for Brandon. But I have no idea what they charge for sedation.

We were told the same thing for our Sarah. Took her to Doug Grosmark who did all the work under local with "TV sedation" for a couple hundred bucks. He is at Madra and Del Cerro Blvd. Also Tamara Schneidmiller in La Mesa does kids and is great. A little patience and it can be done in most kids without general anesthesia. For orthodontist we have taken our kids to Kurt Stormberg in La Mesa. He's great-priced fair and quality work.

They didn't specify Maria Nagy but I think it's because the new dentist can't handle seeing all the kids so they are referring out to civilian dentist

I take my 6 yr old daughter to South Bay Dentistry with Dr. Dino. There are two male dentist, both great and gentle as can be. The office is super duper clean and the entire staff is great. I used to work in the dental field so I'm very picky. I highly reccommend these guys. I know it may be a bit of a drive for you but it will be worth it:)

Just took my kids to All Smiles (Dr. Job) near school. They took our insurance and I was really impressed by both his professionalism and easy manner with the kids. I got a referral card from him, if you want it.
