Dr Jaime Gottlieb is the best! My husband seen him for his back. Then my neurologist sent me to see him; I saw him for my neck! I would highly recommend him, down to earth & not out to do surgery. Thank you all so much! I really appreciate it. I saw Dr Graham in South bend, and nothing has worked. I've been diagnosed with degenerative discs, sciatica and also have a extra vertebrae which I believe to be the culprit. But all I've been told is to get injections that costs thousands, fuse my vertebrae or just manage.

If your having back issues and may need surgery you always go see a neurosurgeon .... is my advice but my dad seen Dr Jamie gottlieb in sb .... and loves him he does great work (as a nurse who used to work with him ) unfortunately I love sbo docs but not for backs

Any at Playtime peds. My oldest started there as a baby and she is almost 23 my 10 year old still goes there and sees Dr Katakam. My almost 3 year old grand daughter also sees him. I can honestly say they are the best. Dr Sergiwa seen my 19 year old at 18 cause she classified as a minor and all he could do was try and pressure her into gastric bypass surgury. She's 6 ft 3 and yes on the heavy side but not heavy enough to even think that way.

As of now I choose Dr. Pamintuan. In michigan city. He delivered all of my brothers. I've heard good things about him. So my first appointment is Monday!! Looking forward to getting things rolling!

Dr. Magill just operated on my mom's ankle and I'm impressed with how he handled everything from start to finish. I'll ask for him again.

Dr Fielder replaced both my knees on the same day. Such a kind Christian man. My new knees are wonderful. He was great for me. I can't say enough good about him.

Dr. Scott Fielder did 4 of my surgeries and 1 of Davids. Good at what he does, I can't even see the incision scar on any of mine. He is also a good Christian man. He prays and that is important to me.

South Bend orthopedics did a great job on a hip replacement and they go to I Street Clinic. Anesthesiologist was awesome! Find the surgeon who specializes in the area you need work done. But So Bend Memorial hospital had awful food and inattentive nurses. Sorry SBM but it is true.

Lakeshore Bone and Joint institute on Monroe.... I actually went there and the orthopedic surgeon I saw was in Valpo with my surgery at Porter Memorial....

Dr Fielder has done a lot of good work on the boys. Hunter was our main problem with body casts, broken legs etc. We have had great success with him.

They closed down VNA Home care and hospice after 40 years of service.... didn't make enough money

They also forced out Dr Filipowicz who was their only neurosurgeon!

CHS has ruined most hospitals they have bought out~ Indy area had many good ones that are now awful. CHS SUCKS!!! We need to take it back & run as LP Medical~

The Porter hospital is also closing Dr.offices. And no notices given

Community Health Systems, the owners of the hospital.

CHS has also gotten rid of the ear nose and throat doctors such as Dr Wangstrom (who will keep his laporte office but have to do his surgeries at i street clinic or south bend hospital)... not good for us in laporte...

This is so sad. I thought that was a community hospital paid for by citizens of laporte. How can one company take all of that away. Sounds like they are going to use OUR hospital for a tax write off Isn't there anything the city can do to stop this insanity??? Maybe the doctors should buy it

I don't know if you would like to drive far but I have the best doctor in south bend. Dr. Bolton is great. He is with south bend clinic. Plus I had my baby at memorial and they are great there. Wonderful nurses

I had him and he was great. Dr Hendricks actually ended up delivering Haidyn but throughout my pregnancy Dr Pamintuan was great. If you end up choosing him, try to get all morning appointments. They are slammed in the afternoon and I always ended up being there for a couple hours. Landor and delivery at Franciscan was awesome! My whole team of nurses were amazing and I got to go home 2 days after a c section.

My mom is the director of the OB floor at LP. I always hear horror stories about the hospital but most people have good things to say about OB. AND Dr Strachan is GREAT!!! She's so nice, younger and she just had a baby herself. Lmk if u have any questions about LP OB, I can ask my mom for u!!! Good luck wherever u decide to go!!!! And CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

I might be a little biased about LP OB because of my mom, but I have heard Dr P is great too!

Freedom of choice, Heather! You are doing exactly what you should by researching, asking around and then making an informed decision! I thought the nurses were great (at LP) on the OB floor and my old doc was with Dr Strawn (Phelan) and she was/is wonderful, but moved.

I have gone to Dr. Wheeland for years, really like him:)

Dr. Deusey is good she is in city practices with her husband. I seen Webb in the past he was good but always seemed to be in a rush but I take it you want to get away from medical group..
