Get a good eye doctor. Dr. Lukasko spotted that I had a partially detached retina. The doctor makes a difference. She is extremely thorough. Dr. Piccione is very good as well. He's nice, just a little dry.

Dr Boudreaux is really good with children too. I went to about 5 different places looking for frames. They carried the best selection that I could locate here.
Deedy L. replied:
I love Dr. Graul who is with Azar Eye Clinic on St. Landry across from the old Lourdes Hospital site. Dr. Graul is absolutely wonderful as an opthamologist (?) but more importantly, he's a Christian who has been on numerous mission trips to Mexico to conduct clinics in poor areas. Our daughter-in-law, who is a pharmacist, has served on his medical team and thinks very highly of him.

My cousin is Kevin Swan. He's an ophthalmologist in the same practice as Dr. Bohn and Dr. Joseph, and he's also a corneal specialist. But not sure if he would have an opening as soon as you need.
Angie S. replied:
Dr. FIsher files with Blue Cross for me. I don't have vision with them, so it's my regular policy.

He sees Dr Neu there.

...He is an optometrist. Recently had a fairly serious issue, I returned to Dr. Cheryl Neu (pronounced Nye")@Azar Eye clinic on St. Landry across from Old Lourdes. Both Dr. Azar(s) are also very good. Recently heard someone speak very highly of Dr. Susan Azar and the other one( can't remember his first name) did a good job on my LASIK years ago.
Can anyone recommend a good pediatric eye doctor? That will see/treat beginning at 2 years?

Dr. Craig Sanders has a Children's Eye Clinic on Pinhook Rd. I've taken my son there (before he turned 18) and there were always small children in there to be seen.

Hello - The American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) organization is a good place to start; they are primarily surgeons, but they generally have more training in Graves' disease and thyroid eye disease than other doctors: http://www.asoprs.org/custom/directory/?pageid=3657&showTitle=1 You can use this link to search by city/state/zip.
Luckily, I won't need an eye operation. The nice eye doctor in Baton Rouge told Mama and Papa that eye drops should keep things in check for quite a while. And I was...

Yes, Shimmy Puppy! But you have to continue to be a sweet girl, like Dr. Carter said. Stop shimmying away from the Shimmy Mama when it's time for THE DROPS! It's amazing how you react and what you can see with only one eye!
