I'm looking for a bakery that can make about 40 cupcakes for baby shower this Saturday. I would need to pick them up very early that morning. Please can anyone help?

Try Purebread on the 100 block of west hastings, had it a couple of times and enjoyed the flavour and bite of the bread.

Two suggestions that are not quite downtown: - A Bread Affair on Granville Island - Uprising Breads at Commercial and Venables You can buy Uprising Breads products at Choices and Whole Foods downtown. I'm particularly fond of their cinnamon raisin bread (makes fantastic toast). There is another brand of local bread that Whole Foods sells that is quite good but I forget what it's called. Nelson the Seagull makes nice baguettes. I'm not sure if they make any other kind of bread.
