Struggling with some IT band issues with 9 weeks left of training for the Akron Marathon. Can anyone recommend a physical therapist or specialist in the area? And would...
Haley A. replied:
I went to Berea Family Chiropractor for same issue. Ciryak is great!
Christine C. replied:
Dr Joy is very popular with runners. She is at Cleveland Clinic Avon
John S. replied:
Matt Stephens with Elite Physical Therapy....been struggling with similar issues for years and between him and his recommendations, all good.
Pati H. replied:
Went to Steve Benesh at Cleveland Clinic Avon. Good PT person band also a runner
Bethany W. replied:
I'm a PT and work with Westshore Primary care at St John Physical therapy. We have a few PTs that specialize in the treatment of runners. You don't have to have a MD referral to see us. Eric Jancov is one of my colleagues and is very good. Give us a call, tell them you are a runner and what problems you are having and they'll get you set up! 26908 Detroit Road, Suite 300 Westlake, OH 44145 P: 440.414.6050
Anyone have a recommendation for a good doctor who performs LASIK surgery? Preferably that takes care credit.
Vanessa A. replied:
Yes I am actually going there. I made a tentative appointment for Jan 6 which I will keep since your mom recommends it. Whenever you get a chance scan paperwork to my email vanessa_ackley@hotmail.com thanks a lot I appreciate it.
Can anyone in the Sandusky area give me the name of a good doctor? General practitioner.
Margaret H. replied:
June Campbell is right! Being informed is key! You will always hear patient 'horror stories' about their experiences no matter where you go.
Mary S. replied:
We like Dr. Carl Steele, DO, Port Clinton. sorry you are ill.
Erin S. replied:
I go to Dr. Perng in Port Clinton. She is wonderful.
Margaret H. replied:
Jonathan Penwell is wrong. There are many fine doctors in this area.
Jonathan P. replied:
Well my 3 heart procedures and Diane Penwell gallbladder surgery later where not 1 single doctor in the entire Sandusky area knew their butt from a hole in the ground pretty much proves that The Clinic has doctors that know what they are doing and Sandusky does not.
Barb S. replied:
Urgent Care at NOMS right off Rte 4 is open on Saturdays, we have been there and all my Doctors are in the NOMS complex. We go to Dr Paul Bruner and he is a very good informed man who will listen to you and go from there. Michele Poulos is very good, married to my cousin. She's on the same office area as Bruner. Good luck -hope you feel better.
Mac M. replied:
MaryEllen Burns?
Mickey H. replied:
We go to Dr Hill in the NOMS complex on Rt 4. His nurse practitioner, Michelle Poulis is awesome.
Jonathan P. replied:
There are none in Sandusky. Go to the Cleveland Clinic. They know what they are doing and are not practicing.
Jonathan P. replied:
My wife and I were 'informed' nothing was wrong with us until we went to The Clinic and the doctors at the Clinic figured out what no doctor in Sandusky could figure out. Seriously.......It is the Cleveland Clinic? You really think the locals in Sandusky hold a candle to the world known Cleveland Clinic? People travel from all over the globe to come to the Cleveland Clinic. They don't travel to see Firelands doctors. I'm sure there are some really nice people that work at Firelands and they try to do a good job but they are not at the level of experts you can get at the Cleveland Clinic.
Diane P. replied:
feel better soon Robby MacKay Zettler. I will say the best all around dr. I have ever experienced was in Huron. Rich Schuster. Unfortunately he and his wife left for bigger and better things.
Margaret H. replied:
Jonathan, I don't think anyone in this thread is comparing our local hospital to The Cleveland Clinic. We all know that The Clinic is a world-renowned, first-class facility. However, I'm also fairly certain you did NOT see EVERY doctor in Sandusky, as you've stated above. Everyone's situation is different and I'm am sorry that yours and Di's were negative experiences. On the flip side, I've had four surgeries at FRMC with no problems whatsoever. Both of my parents have recently suffered catastrophic illnesses and were given very exemplary care in their recoveries. As I said before, people will always want to tell you their negative experiences, but I'm a person who would rather deal with the positive. End of rant.: /
I am having back trouble again. First time in 8 years, since my surgery. Any one know a good pain management doctor in the Cleveland area ? I really don't want more...
