I like the taste of the food at Twisted Oak, but it still takes far too long to get served. If you have time to spare this is a good place to get good food. If you are on a schedule there may be an issue.

Well if anyone wants to get out of Lampasas and take a little drive....Reverend Jims Dam Pub outside of burnet towards Buchanan Dam has the best freaking burger in the world....just sayin!

Alfredo's is good, Linda Mexican Grill is good, Giovannis is good. Mama Jeans BBQ is good, Toupsies is good. I FORGOT EVE'S Great German Food and atmosphere. Just my thoughts.

That's going to be hard because we really don't have one. (IMO) I'm going to say Yumm Again because it's good, consistent and Sandra and Mike are wonderful.

Toupsies is good Cajun food, Eves is fantastic German food and burgers, Twisted I tried 3 times and never got the service I expected and the food was not good. With that being said we haven't been back to Twisted Oak after the first 4 weeks of opening So I think the food has improved greatly. The service from FB not so much. Give them all a try and decide for yourself....good luck/happy eating.

If you are looking for authentic, they have the new little Taqueria Express between Kempner in Cove. They have actual authentic mexican food and their tamales are to die for!!! Prices are not bad.
