The best Chinese restaurant Lancaster ever had was on Ave. H-12 and Beech, just off Sierra Hwy. It has been decades since it existed and I'm afraid the name now eludes me, but the owner had been President Eisenhower's personal chef and it was fantastic! After it closed the place became a stripper joint called The Blue Dolphin. On the other hand, I thought that the Phoenix Inn sucked. You're right about PFC, I had dinner there about a year ago and it was not the same restaurant. Okay, but certainly not great.

We use to love Mings on Lancaster Blvd. Never liked PFC's. I loved The Phoenix Inn.

Don't remember the Fiesta, perhaps I was actually too young lol, but the Connoisseur, & the Sportsmans, & later the Trapdoor coffee bars were great 'hangouts' for us 60's kids...and then we had the Central Pier & the Floral Hall for the dances...those were the days

Another rendezvous has come to mind..does anyone remember the Hatch Club on Heysham Rd..the entrance was a big gate just about opposite where Tesco Express is now, I think...I went 2 or 3 times with a friend, but I also think I was too young to be there....& my friend was a bit younger than me! What would our mothers have said if they'd known!
