Go to Farm restaurant on the pier over the water. Spectacular! Go to the Getty Villa. The Adamson House is gorgeous. First house in Malibu. Definitely worth a tour. Marmalade Cafe is across the street from the water, but affordable and a nice diverse menu.

Nobu Malibu is wonderful! Call ahead and make a reservation. You can also do some shopping at the lumberyard.

Eaton Canyon or Chantry Flats (even just to drive and have a short walk if you don’t hike). Visit a CA Mission. Eat at din tai fung and Lupitas. Olivera Street and the museum there. LA Arboretum in Arcadia is amazing too. I’m from the East Coast and these are some of my favorites

Looking for recommendations for favorite steak/american food restaurants - not quite Houstons/Derby, but nice.
David K. replied:
Arroyo Chophouse is right next to the Parkway. But it's probably as expensive if not more so than Houston's, et al.

The Derby in Arcadia. http://www.thederbyarcadia.com/

Taylor's in La Canada is not as pricey as Houstons or Northwoods or Derby. In my opinion Northwoods is only good for salad and cheese bread. Taylor's is pretty much a steakhouse with other options. http://taylorssteakhouse.com/la-canada-dinner-menu/
Hi, wondering if anyone could recommend a restaurant for Christmas Eve in the Sierra Madre/Pasadena area? Would love a nice, festive location. Thanks in advance!!
Deborah B. replied:
Raymond Househttp://theraymond.com/ I only had one Christmas dinner I couldn't spend with my family due to a horrible rain storm. My best friend was in the same boat. WONDERFUL dinner in this beautiful carriage house. You cannot beat the food or atmosphere. Expensive, but a lovely memorable treat. You will not be disappointed!
Does anyone know of a restaurant nearby serving a Mardi Gras dinner?
Kathleen D. replied:
The Little Jewel of New Orleans in Chinatown is good! Also The Gumbo Pot at The Farmers Market/The Grove. Not sure what they have planned for Mardi Gras but sure to be good!
I just discovered Colette's restaurant on Michilinda near the old Albertson's. A gem of a restaurant! It has great food, from oxtail to whole fish, pasta loaded with...
