My husband and I are looking for a really good veterinarian. One that loves animals and not there for the money. We moved here 2.5 years ago and not happy with the one...

Anderson Animal Hospital out 127 by the BG parkway. We had a crisis a couple years ago when our cat had a stroke 2 days after I hada miscarriage. i didn't want to put the cat down and couldn't spend a lot of money. they kept the cat over the weekend and got him stable to bring home, kept the bill under $500....the cat is happy and healthy to this day spoiled rotten.

I live in Lawrenceburg but CornerStone Animal Care on the east side of Frankfort in Jett town is absolutely the best and worth the little bit of a drive. They're the cheapest I've ever been to and also care more than any other. They call and check on t he status of our animals, we found out our dog has a rare blood disease thanks to them they honestly saved her life. So when her pup ended up with it we knew what to from the beginning. They've stayed late or opened early to see our dogs and never charge extra. We have multiply dogs and they don't charge us for each dogs office visit like all the others have. Easy to get into and very friendly! Cornerstone is open to 7 pm as well it's very convenient hours. No mater what I would NEVER go to the animal clinic they are horrible. A girl I worked with took her dog in for shots and ended up in the animal hospital at 5 am the next day cause the dog had an reaction to them and was very ill and swollen for days. I've had similar experiences with my dog, he's 9 has regular shots and only have issues when I went there. Another lady I know told me she got a flea pill for her dog from them which the dog ended up having a bad reaction to it and dying:( . they've always been rude to me when I've been there as well.
Rebecca C. replied:
Dr. Jill Mitchell at Frankfort Animal Hospital. She is the best vet I have ever had for my dogs. I have 2 chihuahuas and one of them has had a couple life threatening events and because of her expert care and compassion he is still with me today. I wouldn't dream of taking my animals anywhere but Frankfort Animal Hospital.
Cassie B. replied:
BOTH Dr. Brown and Dr. Goodpastor are both wonderful at Animal Clinic in Lawrenceburg.
Victoria S. replied:
Dr. Brown at the Animal Clinic is great.. the others are as well, but Dr. Brown is my favorite!
Julie B. replied:
I've been using the Anderson Animal Clinic for over 20 yrs, I'm a breeder of rottweilers, it's important to me to be able to have vet's that go beyond my expectations, answer all questions, will tell you upfront the cost of all procedures. These vet's are also connected with Commonwealth Vet Clinic in Harrodsburg. They have never asked me to muzzle any of my dogs ever, is an issue for me when some of the clinic's mentioned above have in the past asked me to do so even when the dog being seen was only 4 months old. They will also work with you 9 arrangements to pay large bills when necessary
Monica F. replied:
I have lived here in Lawrenceburg my whole life and I refuse to go anywhere but Finchville Animal Hospital. It's a 30 min drive, but they are amazing people, and their prices are literally half of what I pay around here.

My cat was hit last tues in the rear. His rt pelvis was broke in 3 different places and his lt was dislocated. Dr Goodpastor said he will heal fine. He gave me 3 syringes of pain meds. I was to give my cat orally for 3 days. It was a very low dose pain med. On Friday I called Dr. Goodpastor and told him my cat was writhing in pain and needed more meds. He said to come in on Sat and pick up 3 more days worth. He said I know it's not a strong pain med, but he doesn't need anything stronger. My baby died Friday night at 10 pm. I was so devastated. I feel he didn't get good care there and won't take any of my babies back to them. I need a good caring loving and kind vet. One that is there for the pets not the money. The syringes were for one dose each. So, Willie had to go all day with just a low dose med. I feel like puking and my heart is broken. We don't have kids and our animals are our babies. Just sad
Phyllis S. replied:
Friday night I watched my baby writhe in pain. I called Dr. Goodpastor and he wouldn't give him anymore meds for the night. He said, I know it's not a very strong med. He gave me 3 syringes and they were one dose each. Any doctor would have said bring him in and let me look at him. And then determine if i should let them put him to sleep. And the 1 st time i called they were still opened. Never again!
Rhonda C. replied:
--My vet is in Midway, she is the most awesome person. She cares about her animals first and foremost, she have proven that to me many times over. Midway Small Animal Clinic, Dr McGregor, 859.846.4202, you wont be disappointed
Shelby U. replied:
Dr. Jolly at woodford animal hospital. The best one I know. I use to work for a veterinarian in Owenton and I still took my animals to him. Dr. Jolly called me while he was on vacation to make sure my cat was doing better. He is Awesome!!
Phyllis S. replied:
My husband called the vet on sat to tell them willie had died and we didn't need the meds. They didn't even say i'm sorry and Dr Goodpastor never even called.
Phyllis D. replied:
If you don't mind the drive to the east side of Frankfort, I would like to recommend Dr. Kim Smith at Cornerstone Animal Care. I work there but that's not the reason I'm recommending it. I was a client first and once I took my pets there wouldn't go anywhere else. We are a clinic full of very compassionate animal lovers.
Phyllis D. replied:
We'd love to have you and your fur babies as clients/patients. Check out our page here on FB or our webpage at www.cornerstoneanimalcare.com
Amanda M. replied:
I live in Lawrenceburg but drive to Frankfort to Cornerstone. Theyre cheaper than any others and still do thorough work. But I also like Dr Goodpaster at the Animal Clinic. He saved my pup from Coronavirus and stayed around the clock with her.
Dan W. replied:
Dr Goodpastor. At the animal clinic net to the school off of main street.
Kimberly S. replied:
Shelby Vet Clinic.
Sheila W. replied:
Midway small animal Dr. McGregor....she is the best
Stephanie D. replied:
I love Cornerstone Animal Care in Frankfort. I drive there from Lawrenceburg. I have lost a cat but it was not Dr. Smith's fault but rather a neglectful vet before hand. She did everything she could to save him but it was too late, which gives me a bit of peace. Prices there are decent too which is always a plus.
Kristal P. replied:
Anderson Animal hospital. They have always been great with our fur babies.
Donna S. replied:
I have not had good luck with the Animal clinic, but Dr. Kennedy in Frankfort is awesome, I wouldn't take mine anywhere else
Looking for a Vet for my Schnauzer, any suggestions in Versailles?

Brad H. replied:
Ashley Keith
Dona R. replied:
Dr Keith at Crossroads Vet is great. Have taken 2 huskies and now cat to him. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Scott W. replied:
We were going to Lawrenceburg because of the expense of Woodford Vet. Now we're going to start going to Buffalo Trace, they were very helpful and affordable.
Scott W. replied:
I don't think Woodford Vet is a bad place, it's actually very good, I have a friend who is a vet there. I just can't justify the cost, and my friend doesn't control it. Seriously, it's twice the cost for just routine annual exams.
Dr Dale Eckert is the best. He is a very kind understanding person and we have had him take care of two dogs. In fact he had all our neighbors dogs in past years one of which is a schnauzer.
Rebecca W. replied:
Highly recommend Dr Ashley Keith at Crossroads Vet - contact: 873-6463. Great staff! You will not be sorry!
Matthew H. replied:
We've been taking our Golden to Dr. Bevins at the Animal Medical Center in Frankfort for the last 3 years and couldn't be happier.
