Little Paws Inn is amazing for both daycare and boarding. There is always someone there (the dogs are never alone), and they keep a home-like atmosphere for the dogs who are boarding (they aren't kept in cages). Our dog sleeps on the bed at home, so when he stays overnight at Little Paws he sleeps on the bed there. Plus the staff is great - super friendly and attentive.

Sadie’s has open overnight boarding. Someone takes the night shift to supervise (so no fights) and the dogs get to sleep wherever they pick and aren’t contained all night!

Stony Plain: Lady & the Tramp Pet Resort http://www.ladyandthetramp.ca/ https://www.facebook.com/ladyandthetramppetresort/ I use them for doggy daycare. If you're kenneling they send you daily picture and video updates. I was given the tour of the kenneling facility and plan to use them next time we need it. Each "pod" is very homey and each one even has it's own tv! Reasonable rates too.
Call nincompups in Fort Saskatchewan. We used to take our dog there and they don't actually use kennels or cages. But they might no be boarding dogs at this time. Lisa, the owner, is awesome.

Waggytails on 149 th street and 121 st avenue also has over night, cage free care. There is a 24 hour attendant and the dogs are in daycare during the day when they stay multiple days.

Better than Home near Sherwood Park has done an outstanding job looking after our GSD. They have a video each week on Facebook of current dogs in care, too. Nice to see your pet having fun while you're away from home. I've also used The Ranch near St.Albert. They were good, but not my first choice. I've also heard really good things about Lamont Kennels and know several people who use them frequently.

I can not recommend Dogspaw enough! It’s located off Gretzky drive and fort road area, near the old hockey stadium. I take my dog there whenever he needs to be kennelled and he has a blast. They do open play for the dogs during the day, divided up by dogs age and size. It’s great , especially if your dogs are super social. They have won consumer choice awards in Edmonton for several years in a row. I have never been disappointed with their care of my dog. The owner is super nice, as are all the other employees and they all have pet first aid training.

I love love love Posh Pooch on the South Side. I've tried others, especially since moving way up to St. Albert last year, but I'm back with Posh. I like that the dogs run around in the daycare all day and aren't caged up. They sleep in kennels, but that's good for me and my pups. I find the prices really reasonable and the staff are fantastic. http://www.poshpooch.ca/
