Lots of space to run around both inside and outside, please text me 780-405-6498. I know my dogs get scared at the kennel so at least they will feel more at home.

Can any of my friends help me with info on the evac stations in Calgary with supplies. I and my puppy need a few things. He's a lab that's outgrown his kennel for one,...
Krista R. replied:
Yes there are 3 centres in Calgary. I think you just need to register at the centre and you can get the supplies you need. As for your dog, https://www.facebook.com/150731724951172 Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre is offering free vet checks. I believe they have been collecting donations as well so you might be able to get some assistance there. Otherwise the Calgary humane society is also collecting donations. http://calgary.ca/General/Pages/Fort-McMurray-Evacuation.aspx?redirect=/fortmcmurray

We also started a page called Donation Items for Alberta evacuees. It is a temporary swap page to connect people donating directly to evacuees. Fell free to post what you need (specifics re. Sizes etc.) and general location and ability to pick up or if you need it delivered and I'm sure someone will reach out.
I've tried searching but only finding posts looking for carrier style kennels for traveling.

I usually board my dog at Little Paws Inn (http://www.littlepawsinn.ca/) 780-757-2971. They have someone there overnight with the dogs, so we felt comfortable leaving ours there when he had to take medication. Hope the info helps! There are lots of places in the city but I found Little paws is quite caring. They also have a separate area for senior dogs and/or dogs that don't need a full day of play time.

If your dog is used to a kennel, Perfect Place takes very good care of dogs. But if they’re used to sleeping on your bed, most kennels will be hard for them to adapt to.

Are there any vets in Edmonton that will fill a prescription without seeing my boxer for his allergies I'm in Ontario and he's having a flare up scratching his face on...
Jessica T. replied:
You can give 1 mg of Benadryl per pound that your dog weighs 2-3 times a day I been told by the vet for my boxers who also get bad allergies but I think she is looking for the steroid to give a better solution for the poor guy :( I believe there is an emergency vet called guardian that maybe you can call and get some assistance if you explain what's going on. Best of luck. http://www.guardianvetcentre.com
Trish P. replied:
Take him to a vet in Ont. Explain to them. Its not like Fort Mac hasn't been in the news. Crossing my fingers that they will step up for you!
Bev W. replied:
My mini pin jack Russell cross is on allergy meds as well. I had to book an appt to get the pills . The pink ones mine is on are called vanectyl p. If your vet can call it into G&E Pharmacy in Edmonton they will fill it for you.
