If you take a taxi from Schiphol to leiderdorp (Elckerlyc), the fare will be around 40 euros. A taxi from Leiden Central Station to Leiderdopr will run around 10-15 euros. It will definitely be quicker than the bus, but if you want to see some of the countryside, the bus is a better option. The busstop you want is the "Alrijne Ziekenhuis" in Leiderdorp. Elckerlyc is across the rotunde and a block away from the hospital, so easy to walk. Good luck and welcome to the Netherlands!

365 Blue Qliner bus is ideal. Door to door, although takes around 50 minutes, through various local neighbourhoods en-route. The train is better I think. Buy a ticket in the concourse of Schiphol airport, catch the train from the platforms in the basement. 4 stops and you are at Leiden station in 20 minutes. I do this often. Easy peasy!

i used this company www.wielkens.nl to go to schiphol and it was 35 euros at the time (now is 42) and it doesnt look that expensive per km so I guess it should not be too expensive to got to the station

I've used Rijnland Taxi at least 6 times from our home to Schiphol. I book online. They'll send you a confirmation email once it's officially booked. Most times I book the night before I need a taxi and get prompt response. They are always on time, even at 4 am. It's 35€ from Leiden to Schiphol. http://www.taxirijnland.nl/content/home
