I've got just the guy you need to see!! Dr. John Ciccarelli. I work with him weekly and he does a great job! He's meticulous and will shoot you straight. His PA is Jason who is great too! I feel they are conservative and can refer you to pain management if needed. (He refers to SMMC pain management group-MWA. Any of these docs are phenomenal too!) http://www.healthgrades.com/phys.../dr-john-ciccarelli-xcy2 q

I will tell you to stay away from Texas especially anything medical. Stay as far away from a place (as possible) that is called M.D. Anderson. The Medicial industry, in Texas, has created Torte laws so that no patient can sue a bad doctor (even one that kills a patient). In 2009 a golf ball mass was found on my pancreas. I went to Houston and saw the worst quack ever. he put me on blood thinner, told me he wanted to remove my spleen (which had no problem), and he wanted to cut up my pancreas. Needless to say, I went to KU Med Center. Found an honest surgeon. The honest surgeon worked with a radiologist and looked at my CAT scans (5 that I had done at different places). They determined (without need for surgery) that the mass was a pseudocyst. He said to do nothing and it would go away on its own. It has been nearly 5 years since I had that Houston encounter and I like to share my medical story with others to prevent them from believing every person that wears a white coat. Keep getting extra opinions. I do hope you are able to get some relief. Maybe try doing a detox diet if you have not done that already.

Don't know Dr. Pamela Baker but I don't know a lot of medical doctors here. I've always worked psych sine we've been in Houston. Let me know if you come down. We can have lunch or dinner.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with a doctor at MD Anderson, Linda. I've been familiar with that place since I was five years old when my family moved to Houston and my dad became the Personnel Director at MD Anderson. Five years later, when I was ten, he became Personnel Director for KU Med Center and that's how I ended up growing up in Kansas. It is possible to have a bad experience with a doctor anywhere. I have gone to MD Anderson for regular mammograms and breast ultrasounds ever since I had a suspicious mammogram and a radiologist at another hospital in town recommended having the area removed, despite the biopsies being normal. The suspicious area has not changed. I got a second opinion at that time at MD Anderson because I know that if I ever get cancer, I don't want to be treated anywhere else.

Yes, John. There is hope. Hang in there. Texas Medical Center is one of the most highly regarded places for medical care around the world!
