If it ends up requiring spinal surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Yalamanchili out of Newark. He's a neurosurgeon, and did my neck surgery. I asked four different doctors including two orthopedist who they'd have do their spinal surgery if they needed it, and all four immediately gave his name.

Dr Pfaff for spine, Dr Pillai for shoulder both are with Ortho Assoc in Lewes. Dr Choy for sure for knee, wait time but worth it!!

The only ortho I have experience with in this area is Dr. Edmund Carroll. I know he does knees but I'm not sure if that's all he does.

Dr. Carroll at Premiere Orthopedics did my hip and he is awesome. He only does hips and knees but they have a surgeon that specializes in shoulders. I walked twice the same day as my surgery!!

I saw Dr. Pillai when I was in a lot of pain and needed to see someone right away and I did not care for her attitude...but I was there for knees not shoulders.

My doc says Dr Pillai is very talented.

I see Dr Pillai and like her much better than Dr Spieker

I highly recommend Dr Choy he has been working with me since June I was injured in a car accident. He just did surgery on my knee this past Friday. ..I wouldn't go to anyone else! ! And he was my 3 rd orthopedic I've seen in this area

I'm a Physical Therapist and agree that Choy is great with knees and hips. Marvel is good, but Dr. Singh in Dover is probably best for hand/wrist.

Not sure if you're looking for any other inputs on other places, but just in case...Dr. Sowa with 1 st State Orthopedics is the top in the state! They do GREAT work & he specializes in Hand/wrist/shoulders. They are based out of Newark, but they have offices in Dover as well. I actually worked personally with Dr. Straight when I broke my foot, & it didn't heal after 8 weeks in a hard cast. They took over & got me walking again without surgery (which my original doctor was suggesting that it was my only option), almost immediately, with a bone stimulator. Dr Choy replaced both of my knees..just not sure he does wrists? He seems to specialize in knees & hips. You could call to ask....they are the best!

Dr Choy is great........but I kiss the ground Jim Marvel walks on.....my son is walking on two feet/legs today most likely because of Dr Marvel...............Dr. Marvel saved the feet/legs so they could be repaired in Washington after a horrible head-on collision...but even before that, I thought Jim Marvel walked on water
