I also like Savannah Animal Hospital for most visits, emergency and otherwise. They also sent me to Dr. Bowersox at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware (Dover and New Castle locations) when my dog needed an ophthalmologist. VSCD also has oncology and Orthopaedic specialists. I like them very much.

Definitely further then 1-hr but in Newark at VSCD. We have a 9-yr old dog who has gone through cancer surgery twice and they are exceptional. They handle all stages of specialty. http://www.vscdel.com/

I used Dr Carroll for my rotator cuff tear. Can't say I would recommend him. Horrible bedside manner and my scarring is pretty crazy. Dr Axe at First State did my knee though and was great!

Dr LOUELLIS in Dover took care of my broken arm this summer and is treating my husband for a torn meniscus tear in his knee. Great doctor. He is part of BayHealth Orthopedics.

My son has had multiple athletic injuries....so we've seen all of them. Dr. Speiker was very rushed and vague. We didn't get answers to many of our questions.

Try to find a spine doctor. Someone who sees lots of these & doesn't set broken limbs. There a great spine surgeon at Mercy in Baltimore. Charles Edwards. Christian's might have a spine doc. Try not to have surgery unTil all else is exhausted. And don't go to Beebe!

I can say from bad experiences that you should look to either Jefferson Hospital or Johns Hopkins.

Highly recommend Dr. Kennedy Yalamanchili, Delaware Neurosurgical Group, 302-366-7671. He is affiliated with Christiana Hospital. Both Dr. Yalamanchili and the hospital are great. In fact, he is one of the best in the country!

Delaware Neurosurgical Group: Yalamanchili Kennedy MD. All the Dr's in this group are Jefferson trained. They do the surgery at Christiana. The only ones to go to on the eastern shore. Otherwise head to Hopkins.

Highly recommend Jon Weingart MD neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins.

Hopkins has highly specialized neurosurgery. Otherwise U Penn Hospital in Philly.

Dr Collins Lewes 644-8008, he is a little odd but knows what he is doing ( no receptionist answers his own phone things like that) helped my husband after many others did not

I highly recommend Dr. Stephen Dellose, Delaware Orthopedic Specialists in Newark. I had several consults down here and found going north was well worth it. I had a total knee replacement 12 weeks ago and you would never know it. They operate at the state of the art joint replacement center. Excellent care and outcome.

Dr. Choy is the best - no matter what you need done!

I concur that Choy is the best!!! My husband fell off a building and completely separated his hand from his wrist and shattered nearly every bone in his hand. Dr Choy put him back together and was very calm, courteous, and informative. And his PA, Amanda, is amazing!!! My husband just loves her. She has taken very good care of him in the aftermath of his injury.

Orthopedic Associates in Lewes. I would stay away from Trinity Pinkerton had bad experience. He would not see my fiancé unless he would get his records from 20 years ago when he had surgery done.

Dr. Carroll did my both my knees in 2011. My legs are straight again and my knees function very well. I had no complication. Very Successful surgery.

Dr Scopp in Saulsbury is excellent and he has an office in Millsboro too. He just replaced my ACL and it has healed very well. I also went to Elite PT for my Therapy and they are incredible.

I would second Rothman and for your knee issues ... Dr. Jess Lonner and speak from experience with a replacement.

I see Matthew Lorei at Temple I have had 2 knees done there very good results.

Great docs at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. Jim McDonald is knee guy and is fabulous. Paul King is another great doc for knees. Also Cyrus Lashgari, Justin Hoover. They're all good knee guys. I know, I work there.
