Child Development Center at First Baptist Church of Lewisville!!! I worked there for 5 years and it was wonderful! Clean and organized! My son is now in the Pre-K program and loves it! Contact Pam Cooper or Susan McClelland at 972-436-5754. They are also hosting a meeting/answering questions on Feb 5 th at 9:45 for the 2015-16 Pre-K year.

Highly recommend Lewisville Christian School. If needing a longer program check Prince of Peace Lutheran. I think their hours are longer. Have several friends who also enjoy DKH Academy in Highland Village.

Lewisville Christian Schools are awesome and private and affordable. On the corner of Garden Ridge & Main St. Dona Cofer or Linda Seagraves are awesome leaders and in the office. Located in Garden Ridge Church of Christ. Teachers are good too. Received Best in Denton County for private preschools.

Inga Lloyd, our kids went to school with Nicola's child who is autistic. Nicola is a wonderful person (can't seem to tag her for some reason) and I'm sure she can help this mom, she's been dealing with autism for more than a decade. Let me know if your friend would like to meet with her, I can put them both talking.
Deanna M. replied:
Reach out to Denton ISD under there Child Find laws, http://www.dentonisd.org/Page/55749 If she is looking for testing a psychiatrist can't do those test, a school psychologist can or a nerupsychologist
The school district can test them, but if they are on the autism spectrum and are going to need therapy, she is going to need a medical diagnosis for her insurance. I would go to the pediatrician and ask for a referral to a developmental pediatrician that can do that. A great one is Dr. Rios in Grapevine. It is usually a 4 part process and can take several weeks, so the quicker she can start the better. Early intervention is absolutely key! http://www.developmentalpediatricstexas.com

We love High Meadows Academy. Very reasonably priced by comparison to the chain daycares, privately run. When we were there, the staff had been around long-term.

I will whole heartedly recommend Children's Courtyard on Valley Ridge. The directors are amazing, the teachers were all super fantastic. I think Ms. Meagan is part magician, she practically potty trained our munchkin before we knew it. She is the sweetest person, and all the kids adored her. Every day we came in to drop off/pick up EVERYONE greeted our kiddo by name even if they had never had us in their class. Every staff member always asked how we were and said hello. I never had a bad experience with them, and truly loved the happy atmosphere. They had great activities for the kiddos, an inside play area when it was too hot to go outside and a little library to do reading time in. They're open 6:30-6:30. I'm now a stay-at-home-mom, but I tried every way I could think of to keep our kiddo in school with them. Truly one of the hardest decisions ever to decide if she should stay with me or go to school- but with two kiddos wasn't financially viable. It's been a little while, but I ran into one of the directors the other day at a Lewisville event. Not only did she remember our names- she even remembered our baby's name- who had never been to her school. Awesome awesome people. I genuinely miss them.

Chris Archbold- they moved that house onto the Austin Ranch Apartment property (technically The Colony, but off Windhaven and Plano Pkwy.) The house itself is on Arbor Hills Way if I remember correctly. They use it as a rental community area, or at least they did 6+ years ago. I moved to that community right before they put that house there- imagine my surprise when a bit of my home town moved in next door!
