I think Fishhawk Family Dental is great. My hygienist is Mary, and she is very gentle.

We go to Fishhawk Family dental. And I'm a big sissy too. But if you tell them why you have problems they are very supportive and will do their best to make you feel at ease.

I work at Dental Laser Center in Brandon (Kingsway and 60) and I love it. I specifically work for Dr. Waterman who has been at that location for 30 years, but Dr. Gordillo is also there and she's amazing as well. She's done my dental work and is very gentle. We have 4 hygienists to choose from, and all have been there for years. We take most insurance and also have a laser that we use for small filings...which means no anesthetic (shots) needed. Do not go to Lithia Smiles. I was using them til my last visit and the Dr was running behind and didn't wait for the meds to kick in to start filling my tooth and I kept tell her and she kept saying just give me five mins and I'll be finished. That filling feels rough so I think I'll be trying fish hawk family dental

I go to Fishhawk Family Dental and just started my 9 year old at Hess Orthodontics. Very pleased with both of them and we are retired military.

It's really frustrating to find good Dr's on Tricare I remember mom and dad being really frustrated all the time.. Fishhawk Dental is amazing though.

Definitely shop around. I'm glad I did. Found the best orthodontist who doesn't up sale, is old school and took us mid treatment for a great price (unlike others who wanted to charge me more than I was originally supposed to pay!) he explains everyth ing to the kids (you also) and makes sure the kids understand why it's so important to floss and use the Christmas trees etc. he doesn't pay for advertising and is strictly word of mouth. Bruce Scarola on kingsway just north of 60. His number is 654-4661. Because I've needed a lot of dental work, he referred me to his dentist (who practices just like him). Dr. David Walker. His # is 689-5928. I really like him too.

We are on tricare and love Dr Hess's ortho practice and use Fishhawk Family Dental.

My family and I recently began seeing Dr. Matthew Fox and could not be more satisfied. He is on Lithia Pincrest in the plaza with Crunch. Not sure if he takes Tricare but he is a great dentist. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist but, I've felt no pain.

We had a really good experience with Dr. Mary Lily for one of our boys for optometry. Just over on Lithia Pinecrest and FH blvd.

For my kids we see Busciglio Smiles for ortho and dentist. They take Tricare prime and are absolutely fabulous!!!! I see Doral dental next door and love them also.

Sorry about your experience. I have avoided "dental groups" since a friend had a bad experience. Dr Robert Reid is a DDS and has his own office called River Hills Dentistry in the River Hills plaza. The office staff couldn't have been better and he is truly an artisan of his craft!! Good luck with your search.

We just went to Dr. Reid for the first time yesterday, and were very pleased.

If anyone knows where Dr Milne and her staff went please share.

I don't have all the specifics but a friend of mine who was part of the old crew moved with one of the dentists to a new practice called Inspiration Dental. I think it's in Riverview.

Okay LIthia Smiles was great... I LOVED her but she did move and I have not been back since. So Doral Dental or the Cherry place is the way to now...everyone raves about them both.

The practice was sold. Dr. Milne couldn't buy the practice b/c she's Canadian. I know she is working in the area but I do not know the name of the new place she is at. The new dentist is nice but I was not happy with the service. I will not go back to Lithia Smiles.

Hunt Family Dental Adam is a long time resident of FH and is great, as for ortho all 3 of my kids had different Dr's, Hess, Abdoney,and Busciglio. Get consults from all three it might surprise you the different approaches and cost

Highly recommend Fishhawk Family Dental. All of my kids see Dr. Johnson and he's great with them. For orthodontic we see Dr. Abdoney and have been very happy there. We don't see the other Dr. Abdoney for dental because our insurance doesn't cover pediatric dentists, although I've heard many people are happy there, too. Good luck!

I see Dr. Harkey in Riverview. He is not holistic but I feel he gives you a fair honest approach/advice. I have been going to him for years and started taking my daughter there after the pediatric dentist said she needed $1 k worth of work. If nothing more a second opinion is good.

I have not been to him yet, but plan to, since doing all the research myself regarding root canals. It is scary. But Maria R Malec does go to Dr. Behm.

My daughter hit her front tooth on the patio pavers last summer. We see Dr. Carr. She is a pediatric dentist in Riverview and we trust her opinion. She was able to get her right in and evaluate the tooth. If you are uneasy, a second opinion is a good idea.

I saw another dentist in Brandon 6 months after my checkup with my original dentist. The new dentist that told me I needed $20,000 worth of dental work. Switched to Dr. Wareham & left with nothing but my goodie bag, a cleaning, & a clean bill of health.

Doral Dental. Had my first experience there after many years with A different practice...very friendly and accommodating staff and dentist is a Fishhawk resident and since I have terrible fears with dental work I can honestly say I was very comfortable and not my nervous self. Highly recommend.
