Jessica--check out this site, http://www.fmcpaware.org/healthcare-provider-directory/healthcare-provider-tennessee, I feel like it will help you out, if you're still looking for this information. Also check out their Facebook page (search National Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Association), I was able to find other information there as well! Hope this helps you out.
Ok ladies, I'm needing to find a new "girl" doctor. I've had recommendations for Logan and Ashurst at physicians for women and Martin at OBGYN Associates. If anyone uses...
Augenee H. replied:
I use Dr.Griggs at obgyn associates of Montgomery and love him! Heard Dr.Martin is great too
Ashley M. replied:
I see Dr. Logan and she is wonderful!:)
Maegan C. replied:
Dr Martin ♥
Julia J. replied:
Dr. Gentry is the absolute best doctor ever! He is so awesome, and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone, and there is no one else I would trust to deliver my children!
Jennifer T. replied:
Whitney Brown consider Dr. Williams. He's seen EVERYTHING! He told us that when he was in med school (back in the day), they taught students how to deliver breech babies. He is so kind and friendly. I know there are great drs elsewhere, but if you're trying to see someone who will truly support your birth, you may want to consider him. I was even told by a dr at OBGYN Assoc that he "would continue my prenatal care, but would NOT support me at the hospital if I planned a VBA2C and good luck finding a dr who will." This is after I had been cared for by a dr in Pensacola for my first 32 weeks who FULLY supported my effort (before we moved here to Montgomery). I almost scheduled a c-section after that first meeting with the Dr over there at OBGYN Assoc. But, then I decided to contact a doula who then recommended Dr. Williams. I'm SO grateful I found him.

I see Dr Logan she is absolutely wonderful. She might not be accepting any patients right now.

I see Dr. Newman at physicians to women. He was supportive of my VBAC but one of his partners who was on call when I went in was a bit of a jerk about it. After an argument with the other doc, Dr. Newman came in on his day off and delivered the baby and I got my VBAC.
Jennifer T. replied:
Dr. Dent Williams near OBGYN Assoc. I used him when we moved here late in my pregnancy and he's the only dr who would support my VBA2C (OBGYN Assoc. would not). He's older and has delivered babies of those he delivered as well. Great office staff and super friendly. Much more personal than OBGYN Assoc in my opinion. Highly recommend.
Ashley M. replied:
Not to totally hijack the post, but@jennifer do you mind sharing about your first two csections? I've had two csections for failure to progress and have thought about a VBA2C, but still not sure. I'm liking the way Dr. Williams sounds!

Jennifer Heap Trew ^^^^
Heather C. replied:
I love Dr. Williams too-- he delivered a friend's breech baby actually:) What I like is that he tries to give you the birth that you want-- whatever that may be. My oldest was 16 days overdue-- do you know how few drs woul dhave let me go that long?
Jennifer T. replied:
My first was positioned "sunny side up" and I personally believe I got an epidural too soon (I was young and not educated in childbirth and agreed to the c-section after 3 hours of pushing). My 2 nd I wanted to attempt a VBAC, but the dr I was seeing would only support it if I didn't go past my due date. My due date came, so we scheduled a c-section reluctantly. I was determined to make my 3 rd birth work though. My Dr in P'cola was young and EXTREMELY supportive on women always attempting VBAC if healthy and a good candidate (I was). He equipped me with so much knowledge. Then we had a last minute move to Montgomery. After I was told no VBA2C from OBGYN Assoc, I even considered a home birth for myself (but then I found out it's illegal in AL to have a midwife or dr attend a home birth...so backwards!). That's when I contacted Tracey Weafer, a doula. She helped me so much and was the one who recommended Dr. Williams. I delivered 100% naturally at Baptist East (great experience!).
Jennifer T. replied:
I must say too...Dr. Williams DID say he would monitor me and make sure the VBA2C was appropriate for me. I felt like he supported my birth desire, but did so with caution and care. I hardly knew him...but felt I could trust him 100%!
Tiffany H. replied:
Dr Logan is amazing! She delivered all my babies. Highly recommended her.
Augenee H. replied:
Dr. Griggs works at OBGYN assoc. and is supporting my VBAC....
Jennifer T. replied:
No one there would support my VBA2C (after two cesareans). It was extremely disappointing. That was in 2011. Hopefully they changed their policies. Dr. Williams insisted I call him no matter what to make sure HE was the doctor there when I delivered (otherwise he couldn't promise anyone on call there would support me). Turns out, our little guy came just before midnight ON Dr. William's birthday and he showed up for me! Successful VBA2C!!!
Took my son to see a doctor about his knee/leg this morning, come to find out his stupid ass doctor should've done something about it already. So primary children's is...

Anyone know a doctor personally that I could shadow for a day or two?
Trent I. replied:
Anything could work really. Internal medicine/general practitioner would probably be good just to give me a larger breadth of patients to see. So far, I have shadowed an endocrinologist and an allergist.
I've been running low on my testosterone for a while, and I need to get more. Does anyone in the Logan area know where I can go? I need a doctor that will help me...
