Hello new friends! My Little Lady and I are new to London. We will need a local vet. Can anyone recommend an awesome vet? And perhaps any to avoid? PM me if necessary....
Rachel B. replied:
I LOVE the service I get at East London Animal Hospital, both for my own dog, and the rescue dogs that I foster.

Hamilton Road Animal Hospital (http://www.hrahospital.com/) - great service, reasonable rates, open late + 7 days a week! I used to go to Staples and would continue as they were always great to us, but needed a vet with longer hours, so I switched! But either one is great!
Lara S. replied:
Masonville Animal Hospital... Dr. Kirby is amazing, and was so wonderful when we had to put our dog down... and my current dog actually loves him! The only animal I've ever had that gets excited about going to the vet!
Shelley H. replied:
My family has been going to Firth Animal Hospital for over 30+ years with every single animal we have ever had, & have never had a bad experience!

Dr. Larry Yelen at Pine Valley Animal Hospital. One of the most caring and knowledgable vets I've ever met. http://pinevalleyanimal.ca/
Anyone use a vet in our area that they love? Not cost a fortune?
My Mom has a kitten that will need to be neutered soon.
I'd recommend mine that we use, but he's out in...
Carmen P. replied:
Animal Hospital on Quebec and Oxford is very very good and reasonable. Had a really bad experience with the cat hospital on Adelaide After all shots and fixing of our Rosie 100% Healthy check up they called us back 6 months later and said she has something wrong with her blood. WHAT 6 months later. That will be $600.00 dollars please we said NO THANKS they also completely terrorized her when clipping her nails and now wont let you get 10 feet from her paws. Horrible Money grabbing facility Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Pamela B. replied:
Dr. Jason Gerena at Argyle Animal Hospital (Dundas/Clarke next to Bulk Barn) or Dr. Rayala at Oxford Animal Hospital (Quebec and Oxford).

Patti B. replied:
I strongly advise anyone looking into a Vet Clinic to seriously research Dr. Staples - he's had his licence revoked at least twice (that I know of). Personally, knowing what I know about this particular Vet clinic, I would NEVER take my pets there, nor, would I recommend the clinic to anyone.

EVAH animal hospital! Geared towards low income! I just got my puppy spayed there, and they did an AMAZING job. I was actually so pleasantly surprised at how small the incision was! They even sent my puppy home with a toy and I could tell they really cared about her! I also took my older dog to them awhile ago when I thought she was sick, but she was fine (just had some anxiety). They didn't charge me up the butt and only reccommended the necessary testing (instead of doing $100 s of tests like some vets do). And then even called a few days later to make sure my dog was ok!! Check out their site: http://evah.ca/
Tina L. replied:
Oxford Animal Hospital in London. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with them. They care about the animals, they have always been honest with me, they have some of the best prices, and they are open 7 days a week. I know some others who take their pets there, and they seem happy with them as well.

I've been taking Lady to Dr. Alex Privorski at the Small Animal Hospital in Dorchester for 10 years. Very reasonable pricing, and he and his staff are so kind.
Does anyone know of any good vet clinics in London Onatrio area that do in-house Titer testing?
My vet has to outsource to get test results so the price is much higher....
Niko P. replied:
I don't know vets in that area. If your tests need to go out-of-house, Jean Dodds has recommendations: http://drjeandoddspethealthresource.tumblr.com/post/33393350071/vaccines-titer-testing-animals#.Vc0O-3D3 arV I think this article offers wonderful advice; it includes a section on pricing: http://www.dogs4 dogs.com/blog/2008/10/22/titer-test/ good luck!
