Taking my first trip to London, staying near the Oxford Circus. I need recommendations:
Tube v. Taxi from Heathrow to hotel
Best place for currency exchange
How safe...

last time I was there I bought cell phone parts at some shop and the shop proceeded to deduct thousands of dollars from my account... be careful where you shop. It's not a good sign if people at the shop have turbans on their head... that aside, enjoy your time. Really liked this museum: http://www.iwm.org.uk/
Soho is safe up until late night when like any city - Oxford Circus puts you in the centre of it all. English food is actually a blend of multiple cultures and tastes. Pret and Eat are great for sandwiches. Leon and Pod for healthy fast food (?really!)...See More

Safe travels for you Joseph Scott Morgan and Kim. Have a wonderful time. Hugs
Scott P. replied:
dont wear jeans or tennis shoes, they simply SCREAM 'I am an American." Pub Grub is (IMO) the cheapest and best food. dont tip! the waiters get insulted. the tube on Oxford street is ok,but watch out for pick pockets. have a GREAT trip!!!!
