Here's a blog I wrote a while back about the structures you really should avoid https://www.property118.com/tax/worried-seriously-worried-heres/
Jonathan H. replied:
Mark Alexander is the Barrister that won the West Brom case and also founder of property 118 I believe he can do part of this process for you by getting clearance from HMRC to see if its a go or a No. There are several steps of the process e.g do you already have your partnership set up? If not you will need to set one up and have accounts for 3 years. Your properties will need to be transfered to the partnership then the ltd company to be fully exempt from both Capital gains and stamp duty. Finally you will need a broker to remortgage all mortgages so that they will be in the name of the company. So to answer your question you do really need an Accountant, A Law Firm and A Mortgage Broker.
Sue S. replied:
This is not a straight forward process. You need to speak with the relevant qualified people to sort it out. I’d be speaking with Mark Barrett at Property Tax Advice, as he’s the most knowledgeable specialist property tax accountant I can recommend. His email address is mark@property-tax-advice.co.uk. I’d also recommend that you speak with a mortgage broker to find out how this changes the terms of your current mortgages. I work with Joel White at Harvey Bowes and they are excellent and have helped me with my own mortgages

Debra Cooper at Chiltern Legal is very very good indeed. http://www.chilternlegal.co.uk
Dorset D. replied:
Bear in mind that the Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992 does *not* cover new build, only current structures, so you can't force the issue through the courts. If there's a dispute over where the boundary lies, that's the ^first^ thing that needs to be sorted before any worries about party walls etc. (Quick precis for teh Act here: http://www.problemneighbours.co.uk/rights-under-access-to-neighbouring-land-act.html)

Can anyone recommend a good property lawyer to buy or sell property with?
Brinda V. replied:
I used these guys recently and found them to be very efficient. As with anything just check that you are paying for what you have been quoted for and make it clear from the onset that you need to know of any extra charges along the way. http://www.grindeys.co.uk
