Adryon de León: Can anyone recommend a good spot (in Long Beach) for men's waxing?

Am I to presume waxing a guy's abs and/or back? If so, I would suggest Nails Spa Beauty Center at Los Altos 5501 Stearns. I've been there noticing them giving manicures to guys. Money is money & they're very good at the waxing.

Know this was a recent post on here but can seem to find it. Where can I get an affordable manicure and pedicure in the area from a clean place? Also does waxing? ...
Bertha S. replied:
I have tried all the places in Bixby Knolls, they are horrible . I have seen them put acetone in their nail polishes and the mani pedi doesn't last. If you mind traveling a little Ladies Nails on South and Lakewood Blvd.,you could find them on Yelp, they also do waxing. Call before you go they get busy.
Laser hair removal - recommendations? So i know absolutely nothing about laser hair removal, but it's something my wife is interested in getting done as a birthday...

[ImageRx was great for me!](http://www.image-rx.com/) Affordable, accommodating staff, and effective treatments. I did 8 or 9 treatments there - was enough to basically eliminate all of my considerable facial hair. Disclaimer: a lot of the effectiveness is based on skin and hair color, so make sure your wife is familiar with what will work best for her given those conditions.

I’ve bought laser treatments off Groupon. It can save you some money!

It wasn't for hair removal but I've had a very positive experience with the team at Laser Skin Care Center, near the airport.

Be wary of Second Street Medical Spa’s deals. Yelp is your friend.
panikattakk replied:
This isn't a common experience, but laser hair removal did not work for me. I wasted thousands of dollars over YEARS of treatments, at different facilities and companies. 6 months after treatments stopped (3 different times over the course of 13 years), ALL the hair grew back, everywhere on my body that I had it done. For reference I am fair skinned, a III on Fitzpatrick scale, and I have dark brown hair - aka "ideal candidate." I gave up and started getting electrolysis instead, which is more expensive per treatment but it actually worked. So if you notice you're not getting good results with laser, please don't dump your money into it. Or, you can get a big area treated a few times with laser, and then get electrolysis on the hair that remains (if laser works for you, that's the best option).
