Recommendation on a Longmont Mechanic? Anyone have a trustworthy mechanic that you've gone to in Longmont? New(ish) to the area and I'd love to support a local mechanic...

Meining is where the police take their cars and I've always had good experiences. Sometimes they get kinda busy tho. http://www.meiningautomotive.com/

We've been going to Stonem Automotive for years and like them a lot. Very straightforward.

I'm a big fan of Steve's Automotive down on 2 nd Ave. Locally owned AFAIK, and used them several times over the last 6 years and I don't have any complaints.

I have only used them twice, but I have liked Automotive Import Doctors on the 200 block of Collyer. And... it is right next to Georgia Boys, so when you get the bad news you can drown your sorrows in a Burnt End plate and.:)

If you (or anyone) is looking for a great mechanic that is very funny and has incredible experience. The Mechanical Monk is a small shop run by one guy. He is awesome. http://themechanicalmonk.com/

Demers Automotive is a great locally owned, family business. In my almost 20 years of going to them, they have been honest and trustworthy and have kept me coming back. http://www.demersautomotive.com/

Unique Autoworks is amazing! Larry Conilogue is the most honest, fair, reliable mechanic I have ever taken my cars to. He will never overcharge or suggest unnecessary repairs or services. Everyone I talk to about Larry says "Larry is just good people". I completely agree with them.

not on the super cheap side, but i took my jeep (oddly) to AutoSport Repair of Longmont and they did a good job. This contrasts to Stonum (long story but not impressed) and another jeep place that also misdiagnosed a common problem. What kind of car is it? usually i trust the places that specialize more (even if i don't always follow my own rules)
Looking for great local car repair. My Pontiac Vibe has a cracked exhaust manifold and needs parts and labor. I was told by the GMC dealer that they would be more...

Try a super reviewed Toyota specialist....while the vibe I'd GM on the name plate....it's 98% Toyota. Legacy auto in Boulder is great, and I.m sure there are super reviewed Toyota specialists in Longtown too.
