LA has some great local restaurants. Where is your favorite birthday or anniversary meal in town?
Ashley D. replied:
I second Melissa Paternoster. Cafe sushi for sure. I order the same exact thing:)
Andrea P. replied:
Blue Window and Cafe Sushi are my two favorites. Thai may be my third choice.

Blue Window Bistro always!!!!

Origami - excellent food, fast, polite service, attention to quality. Also Ruby K. for lunch. Haven't been to Blue Window in awhile, since their vegetarian option was jut that - only one option.
Gina F. replied:
Dorothy Brown - The Blue Window has many vegetarian options including a house-made veggie burger, vegetarian chile with cornbread, a portabella sandwich with roasted peppers, a chopped salad with cheese and nuts, the spinach enchiladas, the veggie enchiladas, and the eggplant napoleon. (And no, I don't work there, I just really like going there and have tried everything on their menu many times!)
Karen F. replied:
Melissa, as to seafood, I do not know how you all do it, but the Blue Window always has the best salmon.
Melissa P. replied:
Cafe Sushi is the best! Spicy tuna salad and a Santa Fe roll!!

Pig and fig and ruby Ks are great for lunch (p and F also does evening tapas). Be sure to check out bathtub row for a pint if that is your thing- And you can get rigoberto's and take it over too
What's the best Chinese restaurant that's kid friendly?
Alexandra H. replied:
I think Little Saigon in WR has the best Chinese. But for kid friendly, China Moon is great because it's a buffet with lots of options--fruit, chicken nuggets, etc and no waiting. And price goes by age so 2 and under are free. Plus I think it's pretty good for a buffet. But we've been both places with 2 kids.
Does anyone know of restaurants that are open today for breakfast? We've tried Chili Works, El Parasol and Hot Rocks and none seem to be open. Thank you
Michael L. replied:
Time Out Pizzeria is open all day, normal hours. Just not for breakfast!
I just moved here a few months ago, is there somewhere locally to get classics like chili cheese fries, burgers etc. that is an actual restaurant not sonic
