I have taken Mason to Ellis and Baudenham (know I didn't spell that name correctly) . They're on Dixie in the old Circuit City building. I went to Dr. Tipton for my union and he was ready to do surgery right away. Dr. Ellis said as long as I could find shoes that wouldn't hurt my feet to not rush into surgery.

I had good experience with Samuel Carter at Norton
Zyzzyva100 replied:
Ok as a practicing orthopeadic surgeon in town, I will say there are lots of great guys that I would let do my own ACL (I don’t do sports so I have no competing interest here). Sam Carter is awesome and just genuinely a great person. Dr Caborn is truly cutting edge with his treatment and also great. I don’t really know any of the guys at Baptist so I can’t comment there. Logan Mast did the James Andrews sports fellowship and is also great. Joe Greene also does. Very nice ACL Some of these other recommendations are for great surgeons but some of those guys don’t really do sports.
mch80 replied:
Dr. Caborn is the best in the city for knee reconstruction. http://uoflortho.com/drbios/caborn.html?spec=sportsLihttp://www.kentuckyonehealth.org/dr-bich-thuy-thi-vo

Dr. Schlonski or Schlonsky (I think that's how he spells his name). He was great w/my ankle. Someone told me he got out of the ankle business...only focuses on feet now..but I can't remember who told me that.
Genevieve P. replied:
Dr. David Seligson is the doctor who did Mom's knee replacement. He also looked at her ankles which are bothersome for her arthritis. He used to be chair of UofL's Ortho dept. and is now in private practice. He did a superb job on Mom, so we'd definitely rec him.

Robert Goodin at Louisville Orthopedic Clinic (across from Suburban Hospital). He treated me for a broken knee, without surgery, and a hip broken in 3 places, with a total hip replacement, after which I missed only 3 weeks from work. He's on the young side, sits down with you and has face-to-face non-rushed conversations, and he really listens to what you have to say.

Stefani N. replied:
I see Dr. Meta at Louisville Bone and Joint for my wrist problems. I love him.
Tessa W. replied:
I worked at Lou. Bone & Joint for 28 yr. Before you waste time & money go to Goulds Medical and get a wrist splint for that hand...you need one with staves in it. You need to sleep in it. I bet you sleep with your hand clenched in a fist. The splint will keep you from doing this. If no improvement in a week call me I will give you name of best.
