Does anyone know the name of the restaurant across the horse from the green in the 40's

Claire...it was on W. Main / No. Main...walking west you'd walk past the Elton and next would be Prospect St. then the Immaculate Conception Church...it was quite casual actually...a "cafeteria" where you get in a line make your choices and slide the tray until you reach the cashier... no interiors of the Waterbury location but here's one in the Boston area, I believe. http://www.flickr.com/photos/boston_public_library/4016593381/

Does anyone remember Treasure Island on Busch Blvd that later became the Seawolf Restaurant?

The same! My mother worked for her when she and Dottie McGaghin (sp?) started Camp Keystone in Odessa, then bought the camp from her. Mom ran Keystone for about 35 years, Vicki remained a close friend of the family. She missed the camp business and opened up Camp Hiawatha, a day camp on the grounds of CDS, a few miles down the road from Keystone. Many, many happy times with Vicki.
