I really like Southern Fresh in Safety Harbor just off of Main St. It takes a while for them to cook it as they do that dish fresh while you wait but it's worth it. It's not heavily breaded like the old school style but damn crispy and delicious just the same. Sides are real mashed potatoes, green beans and few other items Their menu is fairly small but what they do there they do it well.I love the option of dining outside by a wonderful gas fireplace on chilly nights. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Southern-Fresh/241776482611782

I agree with Freedom...Spring Garden is good. I know they say that if you want their fried chicken it's going to take 1/2 hour. That tells me it's fresh, and truly home made.

Ming Mings on Central Ave, (almost next to Alicia's ) has excellent Vegan Rolls that are a great entre. Also the coconut curry with tofu at Alicia's is another vegan entre I love.

Yes it did - meant Alesia's. Oh no, did not know it had dairy- thought just coconut milk. Will ask again. Ming Mings is great- but low on atmosphere. Ming Ming and her husband are really nice, and if there's anything you want to know about Chineese tea, that's the place!

I'll try Ming Mings soon! I was really surprised about the curry at Alesia. We were there a couple weeks ago and I asked about vegan options.... the waiter only suggested the bun with tofu and without the regular sauce (because of the fish sauce). I specifically asked about the curry and he said it wasn't vegan because they use dairy. Pretty disappointing! Probably won't be back....
