The co-op at the end of Hewitt (east side of freeway) sells the vacines really cheap. But.... That may not be proof that you have the shots. Call sno-king vet clinic on Monday at 425-743-2311. Get prices and tell them your situation. Mark j call, dvm is the vet there. He or his staff may set you up on a payment plan. Ask about that too. He is located in north Lynnwood, 15430 highway 99, just south of the Safeway store.
Can anyone here recommend a local vet who has reasonable rates for office visits? I took my Aussie/JRT mix to a vet in Lynnwood when he had an ear infection last year,...

I took two of my dogs to Bothell Pet Hospital for several years, great people, knowledgeable, BUT I found out fairly expensive. ($300 for xrays for puppy whimpering over leg pain, no injury, to discover its growing pains; $550 for spay surgery) Now we take our dogs to Kenmore Veterinary Hospital and have found them to be reasonable and practical. Also, the vets and staff there are very caring, and informative as well. ($175 for first round puppy immunizations plus medication; $300 for neuter surgery AND immunization booster, plus followup meds) We love Dr. B!
Jennifer L. replied:
Inglemoor isn't the cheapest, but it's not super expensive either. But, you can't beat the level of service. We love all the vets there too. We usually see Dr. Chatterson (and love her... She helped us when we had to put our Cleo to sleep), but we've been talking with Dr. Wicklund too who helped us with an emergency situation for Daisy and he's also great! I've been to Bothell Pet Hospital and they were fine, but didn't get the same connection with the people working there.
Leslie R. replied:
Angel Pet Hospital in Edmonds. They have way better rates than traditional vets and do a great job. Our dog has had two major surgeries through their clinics and we were very happy. They also have a sister clinic in South Seattle that is open 24 hours a day so great for emergencies. You will find the are 30-50% less expensive than other vets.
I know it has been posted before, but I cant find the link. My mom had a cat adopt her 3 days ago. A really big male cat that needs to be neutered. But since its a stray...

Jody Page is a animal control officer in Pierce County! She doesn't GET that the reason we have so many is because this male cat is out and about intact? The people of Pierce County complain because the cats are in their neighborhoods and fighting? Wel l whom in that neighborhood let their unfixed cats go outside? It started there somewhere..and if nobody did anything about it then this is what happens! Cats breed! GET IT? Sorry my fine Ms Page..but if I am trapping in the county and a nice intact cat ends up in my trap..he's getting fixed or probably going to rescue or the shelter somewhere. If you don't get this fundamental issue then shame on you! Where are these cats to be placed if they can't live around people? I would BET my life savings this cat has no chip.

Hammond E. replied:
Lynn Sanders, and cats, feral or tame (especially) aren't safe from predators because they can find places to hide (per Jody's above post)....friendly, abandoned/dumped cats are especially vulnerable....most aren't "street-smart", and don't know the area well enough, and aren't used to having to be soooo vigilant.

Any good recommendation for a dog vet and groomer in Lynnwood area?
Eun P. replied:
For a vet, we actually recently switched over to Bothell pet hospital. I know it's not Lynnwood but they take really good care of your pets! We see Dr Kim Hsu. She is knowledgable and open to answer any questions without feeling like you're bothering her. Bothell Pet hospital is well established and has been around for a long time! I would recommend reading their reviews on yelp! Hope that helps!
