Hanover Hill Siding and Windows. They did a fantastic job on our doors, windows and siding. They also did my sister's doors and she's thrilled on how great the quality was. Good luck! https://hanoverhillsiding.com/

Does anybody have any recommendations for a pest control company to get rid of carpenter ants? I'd love to hear about your experiences. Thanks in advance.
Heather R. replied:
We had carpenter ants last year. Two other companies came and sprayed and baited, but they kept coming back. Then I called JP Pest in Milford (I live in Manchester) and they came and were EXCELLENT! They traced the ants all the way from my basement, out my backyard to a dead log in the woods behind my house. They treated the log, the trail and sprayed and baited my house. The ants never came back. No one else took the time to look for the nest! http://www.jppestservices.com/

Garfield Pest Control out of Merrimack. They use an all natural spray that keeps all insects out!

Call Bain Pest Control

Michael H. replied:
If I may chip in. If he was still working as a carpenter when he moved to Bolingey, perhaps he was working on the Chacewater line, which was Geeat Western at the time
Charles W. replied:
This might be useful. This lists every railway line in the country, open or closed. Did you know there was once a railway on St Michaels Mount? http://www.railmaponline.com/
Brian M. replied:
Charles Weaver There still is a railway on St.Michaels Mount that serves to take supplies from the harbourside up to the castle through a tunnel. Liz Purcell If your grandfather was working on the Chacewater to Newquay branch building fences etc, he may well have been working for Arthur Carkeek of Redruth who were the main contractors for the Great Western Railway. My grandfather also worked for them on the bridge structures. I knew the Bolingey Inn only when Bert and Olive Hovey ran it which must have been in the late 1960's..
Liz P. replied:
Thanks Brian, that is really good information, will, together with other suggestions made, certainly follow them through. I do have some photos of him working on railways in Cwll - will post them - possibly my grandfather worked with yours at some time? The Bolingey Inn, yes, the Hoveys took over from Rose and Eric Payne. The museum in Perran have a booklet on the history of the place, absolutely fascinating, thought to have been a kiddlewink did they call them? first of all, with Underthuel the thatched place next door, actually part of the Inn property at one time.
