If you're looking down Stockport way, https://www.facebook.com/563995823779206 This Here Noise (as posted above ^) has some cracking gear for hire/recording facilities (as well as being rather nice to rehearse in if I do say so myself) plus there's an on-site workshop for instrument/amp repairs.
I recently had my hot water tank replaced by Wilkins and I feel like I was severely over charged. Who do you use for your HVAC needs?
Karen L. replied:
No one is saying that Wilkins is not good. I've heard they are very good. However, i will never use them as i have heard many times, they are GROSSLY overpriced. Lachance Plumbing & Heating is great --- and reasonably priced. I also want to add that their service response is amazing!!!!! I also use them at work --- and again -- great response, service, quality and price! I'm keeping them:-)
Jeff S. replied:
I keep posting homeadvisor.com. You don't want referrals from friends or a family member. Trust me, been there done that...Everyone has been prescreened on home advisor.com and they work on having the best ratings on the site. You just enter want you need and they bid on your work.
Jon D. replied:
We called Wilkins Mechanical years ago for a problem with our oil heater. They told us we needed a new oil pump (the system wasn't very old). Charged us a boatload of money and didn't fix the problem. Then we called Liberty Air(641-6628). In about 10 minutes he found a loose wire nut that caused us years of frustration and thousands of dollars. No charge. We've used him ever since, including changing out our tank a few weeks ago.

Call Absco heating in Manchester. I heard that their prices are very reasonable. Small company too..
Lea L. replied:
Leblanc here in manchester quoted 1950. LL Halle quoted 2300, Queen City quoted approximately 2000 waiting on 3 more quotes
Lea L. replied:
Unfortunately 211 suggested the fix it program but they only do minor home repairs and the other option is USCA rurial development (home improvement loans) 603 223-6035 nothing else unfortunately. So my best bet is trying to get a lower quote to get closer to the 1500 I might get from the state if I qualify. Which I should.
