Any brilliant ideas for a Children's Sermon about Summer Camp?
Jenny F. replied:
Hi Hannah! I usually try to use a story of something that happened at camp and still relate it to the day's lesson. I've also used a camp song and talked about the point of the song, same with skits. I like to pass our s'more trail mix (with permission of the congregation) which has mini-marshmallows, chocolate chips, and golden grahams. I've also seen one done where the letters of CAMP represent something (C is for Christ or Cabin or Creation, etc., A is for Adventure or Activities or Animals, etc., M is for Making Friends or Moon or Map, etc, P is for path, paddle, etc...). Let me know if you need some help thinking one through - this is my job these days!:-)
Starting up a Sunday evening once a month "camp style" worship. Looking for a catchy name. Don't want it to sound too "kiddish". Open to all. Suggestions?????
