Looking for a local daycare for my 4 year old daughter. I know it's not easy to get in these days so we will accept part time if available. Thanks.

Hello! We are new to the area and really don't know our way around Maple Ridge yet. I have a few questions for the group.
1) At the moment our kids are still going to...
Shawna S. replied:
We love Alouette Animal Hospital, they were the only vets willing to fit us in when our 7 week old puppy had an emergency, we have been going to them ever since.
Shawna S. replied:
Silverdale Doggy Vacation Lodge is great, we have had ours go there for some day play trips and also when we go on vacation.
Olivia L. replied:
Can't vouch for any vets, but I went to Albion from Grade 3 to Grade 7 and it was an incredible school! Adored all of my teachers, as did my sister, and had amazing support in all of my leadership endeavours! Whenever I wanted to "put on" a contest or create a group both admin and teachers were supportive, and put up with me. ;) Love Albion with all my heart!
Madison W. replied:
Both schools do have wait lists, but try going in to the district office on Brown Ave. Vets, I would only recommend https://www.facebook.com/221919234504712Dewdney Animal Hospital Ltd. Keturah Walton
Louise M. replied:
Greg Dogwalker for doggy needs! He's awesome and our puppy loves him
Anita B. replied:
Webster' Corners Elem is also a good choice and if you qualify there is a school bus that goes from Albion area. It's a small school so less overwhelming for new kids. I have one boy who goes there and it's a great school - so are the other schools:). The Principal is awesome and he is so welcoming to new families and children:)
Lisa J. replied:
Our vet is head to tail vet office. They are amazing. But they've told us if they're full call dewedney alouette or maple ridge. Do not go to Haney vet they are awful and rude and I don't think they know why they're doing
Kimberly W. replied:
Call the School Board regarding transferring your children 604-463-4200 AR, Albion and Kanaka fill up quickly - catchment kids sometimes do not get in. Golden Ears is a great school as well:)

I went to Kanaka and really enjoyed it as did my brother! We really enjoyed the schedule there: one month off in December, one month off in April and one month off in August! It worked well i thought in the summer as you only have one month off so you don't get bored nor do you forget things you've learned!! if you have any other question you and ask me regarding kanaka! There is also Alexander Robinson in the same area, just off of 240 th of the opposite side closest to dewtney

Dr. Walton at Dewdney Animal Hospital. Best decision I've ever made (and trust me....my 2 year old has been through the ringer from ACL surgery, to Emergency...I eat everything in my sight including Christmas ornaments to a regular visit). The Dog Patch in POCO. Also another great decision. You can see pictures of your pup. Also they have a separate area for puppies vs. Adult vs. Small adult vs. Big adult. First visit is free:) Both have great FB pages for you to check out and investigate:)

Debbe H. replied:
East ridge Animal hospital also great. Have been taking our animals there for almost 20 years. Don't think Dewdney vet is taking on new clients but they are also great if you can get in.
Taylor K. replied:
Dewdney Animal Hospital is a great Vet Clinic, and Greg Dogwalker is an awesome doggy gaycare!
Theresa A. replied:
I've had kids at Kanaka for the last 10 years (2 more to go!) and we love it. The families and the teachers are great and the schedule works really well for our family. For vets I'd also recommend Dewdney Animal Hospital. Dr. Walton is amazing but all the vets there are awesome so you can't go wrong no matter who you see. Our pups also love Silverdale Doggy Vacation Lodge when we go away. Welcome to the neighbourhood!

Albion Elementary, and DEWDNEY Animal Hospital if they are taking new patients! Great experience with both! I went to Albion myself, and although a little crowded I absolutely loved it and the teachers are fantastic!
