Anyone know of any gyms or trainers that train clients for fitness competitions? I'd like to stay in maple ridge or Pitt if possible.

check out miskismansc.com. Ryan Miskiman works out of fitness unlimited. He trains people for competions, injury recovery, weight loss, etc. He has a pretty strong background. I've been training with him for over 2 years now.
I also have to say Ryan Miskiman. Also go to Cutting Edge Nutrition on 203 rd and talk to Graham Chan as he has an extensive background training dozens of competitors especially ladies

We have classes at all hours - 9 am is a fun class with a nice group. 5:30 is nice too with parents working out while their kids do jiujitsu upstairs. It's your choice really - any class is fine You can text me at 778-668-4255 and let me know when you'd like to come by. Thanks!

Beginner BJJ, Gym Recommendation Hey looking to give Jiu Jitsu, anyone have any advice on a good gym? I live in Yaletown so downtown would be best.
Cheers!
NotYourMothersDildo replied:
Marcus Soares just moved into a new place downtown (he was over the Granville Bridge). https://marcussoares.com/ Very friendly for beginners and Marcus teaches all of the classes himself except Fridays.
mikegros replied:
They might not work for you because they aren't downtown, but Budo Mixed Martial Arts has two outstanding BJJ schools, one on Kingsway in Vancouver and one on Hastings in Burnaby. The instruction by Scott Boudreau and others is fantastic and both gyms have a great set of folks to train with. I highly recommend.
BuzzyMcFartNugget replied:
This question seems to pop up every couple of months and honestly, from all the posts it would seem that we have a ton of good schools in Vancouver. As most (if not all) JJ schools have a free trial period I would suggest trying a few out until you get one that fits your vibe. I go to the Gracie Barra on Main just off of Broadway. I like it a lot, but haven't tried any other schools.

GoodLife Fitness in Pitt Meadows- above Canadian Superstore is AMAZING. Their childcare facilities are fantastic. I started going there when my daughter was 7 weeks old and found the childcare outstanding. It's also the best gym - especially if you like fitness classes
