Any all day camp suggestions for a 5 year old girl that will be starting Kindergarten (West Side) in August?
Karla K. replied:
Faith Lutheran offers day camp as well as before and after camo care. They do a different theme each week and are also offering varies mini camps in soccer, baking and others. I have not seen the complete schedule. They are offering some sports camps also, soccer and I think lacrosse. If you want more info call Faith and ask for Lori. She is one of the directors. It is a Faith based camp.
Neely S. replied:
The Walker School has structured all day camps. Each week is a different theme. You do not have to be a Walker student during the school year to attend the summer camps.
Neely S. replied:
I'm looking at a flyer they gave me at Open House at Walker this weekend. It states that the camp is open for all rising pre-k, rising kindergartens and rising 1 st grade students. However, I have a 3 year old and they said that my child would be eligible as well.
Kiersten H. replied:
David Burke same question. What do they offer? Is it a free for all or do they have a structured program with field trips etc.?
Debbie S. replied:
Marietta City Schools has a summer camp, run by the schools, teachers, and college kids as counselor. Contact Marietta Community School at the high school.

Amanda S. replied:
Goddard School on Barrett Pkwy is great. It is structured and each week they do something special to go with a certain "theme." Talk to the director Dawn. She is awesome.
I'm looking for a great boot camp class that isn't too expensive, is accepting and nonjudgemental, and is close-ish to downtown Marietta. Anyone know of a good one?

Paul Bringuez does classes at 1 st Baptist in the gym. They are about 30 minutes long. Planned out well. He is highly qualified. He has many options for classes Mon-Sat. you can go to all or 1 $50 per month.(first 3 are free) I go about 3- 4 times a week. Love it. Classes are small and he really pays close attention to make sure you are doing things right while providing a challenging but encouraging environment.

Any recommendations for places to camp in NW georgia? I'm looking for like, really rugged, remote sites and cheap or free
Tom W. replied:
The Cohutta Wilderness Area is your best bet, remote and many trails but you will get wet crossing the streams many times. Bring water even though the streams look clear to drink.
