A little bit of self promotion here but I work at PhysioEdge Physical Therapy (located behind Kennestone Hospital). We're a small private practice and because of that, are able to see people on a mostly one-on-one basis. No assistants or technicians...just us. We are all specialists and are certified in dry needling as well. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!

Need recommendations for a doctor good for back/spine issues... I have been to chiro, physical therapy, neurologist, ct scans & MRI(no herniated, pinched, or buldging...
Neale M. replied:
Try Dr. Salzmann, Epiphany Health Studio on the square
Beth S. replied:
Dr. Javed is very good, as is Dr. Moore. Dr. Bill Bendict is excellent as is Frank Lin. Kennestone has a very good neurosurgery program and incorporated good rehab as well.
Grady R. replied:
Doctor Daftarl at Resurgent. Did the work up and surgery on my lower back. Really down to earth and spends time with his patients.
Jim T. replied:
Jessie Sharp-Martin is wonderful!! You will be happy you gave her a try!
Nancy S. replied:
Dr. Tariq Javed- Neurosurgeon in Marietta. He's who the Dr's go to. He did my neck surgery and it's 100% now. I wanted to avoid surgery but after two years of pain I wished I'd had it sooner!
Joan V. replied:
Allison Drake- Barrack is fabulous! I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease 35 years ago and all the orthopedic guys have been wanting to do lower back a nod neck surgery for years. At this point I have 6 discs that are totally gone, a herniated disc, and stenosis in my lower back and my neck. Dr Barrack is treating me to avoid surgery as long as possible. She is a physiatrist and pain specialist and uses regular medical techniques as well as some treatments such as manipulative physical therapy, trigger point stimulation and/or injections, and lots of other techniques that have been very helpful. I am on my feet and living a normal life. After having other doctors look at me like I'm crazy when I described all of my symptoms, she went over my MRI and told me exactly why I'm hurting In the places I'm hurting. She is phenomenal! Google Barrack Spine Clinic. She is on Johnson's Ferry except for Wednesday when she sees patients on Vann St across form Kennestone.
Shannon S. replied:
HP Spine center in Smyrna. Dr. Parkerson
Lynn S. replied:
Check with Tariq Javed, MD. Neurosurgeon = he did my husband's surgery - he has a webside. near Kennestone when we saw him.
Haley M. replied:
Started with Tariq. He is known for being hateful to women. The first year I went, he was ok. Then suddenly he treated me like a drug seeker. Went to Dr Moore and he said that I had the spine of an 80 year old...I was mid 30 s at the time. He talked to me, listened to me. I have sent lots of people to him. I ended up having C 5-6 fusion. I will need more surgeries eventually, but right now, almost 10 years later, I'm doing great.
Haley M. replied:
Dr Dan Moore, he's a neurosurgeon.
Debbie S. replied:
My husband has had similar issues and just saw neuromuscular massage therapist, Debra Merge, 770-312-3295. He feels better already. She took a lot of time talking to him about pain etc. He has suffered more than two years.
Ariel W. replied:
Have you tried massage therapy? Go to massageonthesquare.com can help with pain relief and much more.
Carol O. replied:
Dr. Keith Osborn, Resurgeon's at St. Joseph. He is the best spine doctor in Atlanta. Skip Javed.
Nancy S. replied:
Lol Melinda Griffith Hubbard! I don't care if a Dr. doesn't entertain me- just be brilliant and fix me! As I said previously- Dr. Javed is who I recommend
Would love a recommendation for a local Physical Therapist that has delivered results for you.
