Dr. Martineau: (704) 296-2875
Robert F. replied:
Love Dr. Martineau, been taking care of my old handicapped dogs for years !
Lisa O. replied:
Rachel Hernandez. Maybe he has called several vets but they may not have been able to help for whatever reason We don't know the entire situation so give him the benefit that he knows what is best for his pet. I know when I moved here and needed to take my daughter to a doctor, I called about 10 pediatricians. None would see her because we did not have insurance. My husband took over calling places and luckily was referred to waxhaw pediatrics. We have been going there ever since. If I kept posting for referrals, it could appear that I was not trying to find help for my daughter. But that would be far from the truth

Tim, Mark is not in Charlotte, but he is great! We met when we were both in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" in Gastonia...I believe his clinic is on your side of Gastonia...we used him with our first pet... Mark E. Epstein, DVM, Dipl. Miller Animal Clinic. Small shop on Monroe. Really nice and reasonable (for a vet).
HELP - We need your recommendation for a new Vet that is less expensive because we have a new 1 year old Malinois Shepard, Steeler. This makes 3 for us. Molly is 12,...
Lauri C. replied:
Have u tried the Matthews Clinic on Monroe Rd.
Jackie P. replied:
All vets are expensive. For shots and test I take Buttons to the Spay Neuter Clinic in Pineville (on South Blvd.) 704.970.2711, check out their web site. Great prices for shots $10-45. Her vet is the Atrium.
Kathy M. replied:
I go to Mercy Vet in indian trail, the prices are much lower and they are wonderful
Lynn N. replied:
Jackie Harris Page, so far http://www.spayneutercharlotte.org/ is over $100 cheaper than Matthews by far for Exam, blood, distemper, rabies, bordatella and lepto and micro chip!
Can anyone recommend a good vet on Matthews or Indian Trail areas Crystal is still not doing well. Preferably a vet who is fairly reasonable.
Thanks for your help
Ann A. replied:

I like Dr. Jane at Armstrong, she has a heart the size of the city. I like all the staff at armstrong but it's closer to me. Also saw the post above have heard Matthews animal clinic is good. Thinking of you, and Crystal, Marbles, your mum, Michael. We love you.
Wanda Y. replied:
Connie, I have been using ARCHDALE for many years, but starting to feel very concerned. I'm a good friend of Jessica & would welcome her giving you my home #. I would appreciate knowing more about your situation. Our dog is our child & he's nine & want to keep him healthy as long as possible. Jess, I'm deeply sorry & wish I could help. I wouldn't take any animal to that large animal hospital on Monroe Rd. close to Wendover. Ty had horrible experience w/ them in emergency. I had good success with Matthews Urgent Care, but that surgeon is no longer there. I so hope you find good vet & your baby gets better quickly. Also, hope your Mum is doing well. Pls call me if u have a moment tomorrow.

Can anyone in the Charlotte area recommend a good vet that is familiar with greys?
Eloise M. replied:
We like Dr Robyn Shivers at Brawley animal hospital in Mooresville. She is familiar with greys, and was very helpful in our last greyhound's final illness.
Jennifer M. replied:
If your willing to drive to Rock Hill, SC (20 min.from Charlotte) - Gavin sees Dr. Lepardo at Central Carolinas Animal Hospital.
Bryan T. replied:
Been happy so far with Indian Land Animal Hospital. No anti-racing vibes, and several staff members have experience with or have owned greys.
