Can anyone tell me of a nice hotel that takes dogs in Tonala? Or anything else there! Thanx!
Sally R. replied:
The Aurea Hotel Suites is a fantastic hotel that welcomes dogs. It is located in Zapopan, not Tonala, but was well worth the travel time. Av. Lopez Mateos No 3848 Col. La Calma C.P. 45070 www.suitesaurea.com (33)3631.3628

Pueblo Bonito. Avoid El Cid at all costs! Had the worst stay ever and they charge $10 a day for wifi for EACH device you have. And there are no wifi hotspots anywhere on their properties.

The best place to go is Topolos , just down from the Plaza Machado on Constitucion. Number one on Trip Advisor, with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Phone number for reservations is 136 0660.

Any recommendations for hotel in Santa Ana, Sonora?
Cheryl G. replied:
Looking at their website, doesn't seem to be a form for a reservation. http://www.palacehotel.com.mx/ Booking .com doesn't have access and Direct Rooms says there are no rooms available for the date we would be there in about 2 weeks from now.
Suggestions for inexpensive local authentic mx food enchiladas etc.. in hotel zone and historical area.. we'll be staying in both areas. Thanks
Jodi B. replied:
Elchilito restaurant. Halfway Down between Dairy Queen and costa de oro. It's on the opposite side of the beach, it's a little step up restaurant. Very good prices, and great food.

New Year's Eve is a huge late night here so many places won't open until later, or at all. Try The Last Drop at Playa Bruja area. They have lots of TV options, just not sure their hours for New Year's Day. They are fast to respond to messages on Facebook.
