Thanks guys!! I have actually gone to Mebane Pet Clinic by Lowes I wasn't too pleased! I had an emergency with my cat I had to put him down. The tech wouldn't let him stay in the room as they gave him the drugs. But I will def look into the others I appreciate it thank u!
Amy P. replied:
Just curious what is going on w/ Affordable Care in Durham? I adopted a dog a couple of years ago & I think the rescue used Affordable Care to do her spay & vaccinations. I picked up the paperwork from there & noticed they spayed her while she was in heat which i wasn't to happy about.
Does anyone know of a vet that will take payments?!? I just woke up to my cat limping and you can feel the bone in his lower leg poking out and its swollen and hes in a...
Joey K. replied:
um Brittany Wonder ask Nicholas Byrd our friend linda knows a good vet not the cheapest but takes payments
Kelly R. replied:
I know Tri County in Graham takes Care Credit, and will work with you if you don't qualify. You should give them a call.
Karen N. replied:
Dr Jorden does!
Tammy W. replied:
Brittany Wonder, if you applied and was denied Care Credit, contact the Sergei Foundation. Just google them.
Paige H. replied:
It's a good idea to splint it yourself. Your cat will be much more comfortable. http://m.wikihow.com/Splint-a-Cat's-Broken-Leg
While FoMA can some times help with vet bills, right now, we do not have the funds, but on our website we have a list of resources for people that need vet care and can't afford it. Here's the link http://www.fomanc.org/resources.html
Annie Z. replied:
Dr. Brady. You will need to pay a portion but they should work with you. Good luck.

Shannon C. replied:
Mebane Veterinary Hospital on Jones Rd is AMAZING! Dr's Brady and Soule are very caring, down to earth ladies who take their time and go the extra mile. They've even called me at home on the weekend to check in on a sick cat. I'll never take my animals anywhere else! Call them at 919-563-5006!
Peggy L. replied:
Yes. My cat is very stressed when it come sot claw trims. they tried to do it without heavy sedation, 1 st they tried a mild tablet form, when that would not work,. they gave her just enough gas to get the claws trimed, do an exam, also her rabies shot. They kept her age in mind when giving her the sedation. I really felt more at ease. FYI, Mebane Pet Clinic wanted to fully sedate her and not try other options. that is why she now goes to Dr Brady .
Jenifer W. replied:
Creekside Animal Clinic. All my pets love Dr Swanner- he's awesome. Very thorough, caring, and intelligent vet. Always discusses options with us.

Michele B. replied:
There was a long discussion about a month or so on a thread about local vets, you might also want to search that (if possible- just for extra info or referrals) I am currently looking for a new vet bc I use to take my 3 dogs to the Mebane Vet Hospital on Jones rd, but after my dobergirl had a leg problem, they charged me for xrays and quoted a ligament surgery for approx. $2,500 (then stated that I might as well do the other back leg while they are in there!). Told me not to bother with bedrest and "taking it easy" - its not going to work! I searched for a 2 nd opinion and when they sent over the xrays that I paid for, there was no knee-draw test done. That is a must when checking if your dog has a cruciate ligament tear. Needless to say, my dog is running, yes running, just as normal 6 months later. No surgery needed. I almost let them cut into my beloved baby. No recommendation here!
Vince B. replied:
I don't see how you can get any better than Mebane Veterinary Hosp on Jones Rd.
I think my dog sprang his ankle so I'm looking for a good and affordable Vet to take him to in the area. If anyone has any opinions on which one I should or should not...
Andy D. replied:
Our experience with Creekside Animal Clinic have been very good. Pricing is fair as well. http://creekside.vetstreet.com/

Donna C. replied:
Mebane pet clinic by lowes ., Or Creekside on 1 st st both excellent
Pat B. replied:
Creekside - Dr Steven Swanner is who we have used for 5 years.
Julie S. replied:
Been looking at any vet OTHER than Creekside. They have traumatized my dog and Dr Swanner is not a good listener. Just like a personal physician, your vet should listen to you (he's not spending more time with my dog than I am). I have neighbors that swear by him, but they'll never touch my dog again. I'll pay more and take her back to Colony Park in Durham.
Tammy A. replied:
Gregg Jordan at Animal Hospital of Mebane - they are the best!!! Love them. they are compassionate and care about the animal as your family member. I will NEVER go anywhere else. Dr. Jordan takes time and will talk to you if you have questions!
Sheree B. replied:

Polly D. replied:
Mebane pet clinic it's in the lowes foods shopping center. We have gone there for 6 years. Love Dr Kipp. We have seen her for everything from routine office visits, to a leg amputation from osteosarcoma. She even came to our house to put our boy down when the time came. I trust her opinions and she is very thoughtful about expenses. She is also very good about calling to check up a day or 2 later when you have been in for an injury or illness.

Robin S. replied:
I've honestly had all 3 mentioned in Mebane do different things for me, we use Dr Brady because I have an extra large dog and he's easier to handle in a country setting and it's closest. I don't think you'll go wrong with any of the 3.

Took my dogs to the Mebane Veterinary Hospital on Jones Dr. for a few years. My dobie Sophie was limping, brought her in and after charging me for xrays, was told she had a cruciate ligament tear. Surgery would be upwards of $2,500. Should probably do the other leg while they have her under! Went for a second opinion and asked for the xrays that I paid for and they had none to give me. My dog has healed, from something they said she would never recover from with rest alone. She runs around our pond everyday. Glad I didnt follow their instruction!

Animal hospital of mebane. Dr Gregg Jordan and his staff walk on water in my opinion. I have been to the other two but there is nothing better than Dr Jordan.
Mendy G. replied:
Creekside!!! I used to go to Mebane pet clinic but I was skeptical about a few things! They told me my dog had heart worm and needed this expensive treatment and also he had a torn ACL or ligament And would need a $2000 surgery. I got a second opinion at Creekside, his heart worm was negative and he did not "HAVE "to have the surgery. There were other options. Six years later his leg is still good and I am great full I did not dump all that money on both treatments at Mebane Pet Clinic
