Dogwood Mobile Equine, PLLC (Dr. Kate Bremser ) is awesome and I think everyone should use her. But if you're in the WS area, you'd save $$$ on your farm call by getting a Triad area vet. You might want to post in Triad Area Equestrians .

I use Dr. Carroll in Walkertown. He is awesome. His number is 336-595-6540.

Can anyone recommend a vet in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro/South Durham area? I feel like every vet I check out either has terrible word of mouth, or people say "yeah...

I used to use New Hope Animal Hospital on 15-501 (just past the Best Buy when coming from Chapel Hill). I never really found them to be super expensive, but I mean--aren't all vets expensive?

We've always been really happy with Falconbridge Animal Hospital, near the corner of 54 and 751.

We've taken ours to [Carver St. Animal Hospital](http://www.carverstreetanimalhospital.com/). I can't speak to the prices as compared to other places around (this is the only place we've been), but they are really lovely and knowledgeable people.

Check out Dr. Wally at [Timberlyne Animal Clinic](http://www.timberlynelegionvets.com/). Good value, great service.
Jinglebiscuit replied:
I really like Tyson Animal Hospital at 55 and Sedwick. Very, very reasonable prices (compared with Park), and love them. We've boarded our dogs there several times, too.

Cat Hospital of Durham and Chapel Hill has better prices than I've seen at other places and I've always had a good experience there. Obviously only good for cats though!
project_valient replied:
We've gone to Southpoint Animal Hospital for a while now, you can tell the staff really cares about your pets, our dog see Dr. Doyle when he walks in and he's like super cheery. In relevance to prices, we didn't shop around as much as we should have, but they don't seem to be breaking the bank.
Cait_the_Great replied:
Expensive is kind of the standard in this area, unfortunately. For being a highly acclaimed hospital, I think Park Vet has very reasonable prices. To be honest though, I don't know the prices at most of the places recommended here and I can't recall their routine prices right now, so I can't compare.

If you have a Petsmart with a Banfield nearby, they have always been really great to me and it's very affordable. I have a plan for my cat where I pay $25 a month and her all visits (even if I feel something is wrong with her and take her without a scheduled appointment), shots, tests, etc. are covered by that. It has been a very affordable option for me as a college student. And the team at the one where I am now is great, and back home in Burlington both my dogs had the same deal and the vets there were also great. Maybe it could be a good option for you. :)

Also recommending New Hope.

I've taken my pets to Vine Veterinary on East Franklin since I moved up here. Dr. Redman is an absolutely amazing person and a seriously awesome old school vet. They're reasonably priced and the folks there will spend as much time as you need to explain what your options are and help you develop a care plan. I really can not recommend them highly enough.

I really like Parkwood Animal Hospital on 55, it's over near Jamaica Jamaica and Big Lots. I accidentally went there (I used to go to Park, which was great but god were they expensive). They are wonderful! The staff is great and I love Dr. Stech. I would highly recommend their office. (it's in a strip mall, so it doesn't look like much, but they do great work and they are reasonable on pricing).

Spay and Neuter clinic on US 1 in Vass! I'm a Chapel Hill student, too, and it's only about 45 minutes away from campus. It costs $65 (and an extra $25 if she needs a microchip). I've had all 6 of my pets done there and have been satisfied every time!
