Check goodwill too for lamps. You could re-shade one! Also agree try the Facebook sale pages. It's yard sale season and also there's a place in ridley in Chester pike called The Barn. They sell used furniture and have some good pieces that would be great refurbished.

Dylan and other Media-area residents, Transition Town Media has a FB group dedicated to swapping and trading things. Most things are offered free and people ask for things they need. It's a great little uber-local source. To keep it uber-local, we've had to make it what FB calls a "private" group, so you need to be added by a FB friend. If you have just a few items, see if Consign and Design will consign them for you. They are on West Chester Pike in Broomall at Rts. 320 and 3. They were great and out of the 21 items I consigned, only 3 items didn't sell so I let them donate those items.
